Overall, the Sonata is a low-priced, reliable family car. I have owned this car for two years now and it has given me nothing but an enjoyable experience overall. Other cars in the market tend to offer less for more, and it seems that this car is overlooked more than it should be. I would highly recommend this car, as its low price and decent quality make it a great overall buy for almost any family.
Story
I have taken quiet a few road trips so far in my Sonata, and every time we try to fit more and more stuff into it since we always try to prepare for anything. So far, it has always had more than enough space for our family of three, and sometimes with room to spare!
Pros
The Sonata I own gets 35 mpg highway, and 32 mpg city with a 186 horsepower four cylinder engine. The exterior design is appealing, and I do think the design stands out in among the other cars in the market today. It has a spacious and relatively quiet interior, and can easily seat up to five adults. The interior design is also well thought out, with plenty of cup holders and a great stereo. In addition, ride quality is smooth and not too firm over regular, as well as rougher, terrain.
Cons
Although the seats in the Sonata are durable, they are not very comfortable, and after a long trip can really take a toll on the passengers. Also, the four cylinder engine's acceleration is pretty lackluster, and merging or overtaking requires some effort. In addition, the transmission is another slight problem, as shifts are not as crispy as desired and take a little preparation under hard acceleration.

I drive a brand new 2015 Hyundai Sonata. It is one of the nicest cars I have driven. Driving on the freeway and local is very smooth. The car minimizes the impacts of bumps and has great mileage for its size. The leather seats are very comfortable and there are front and rear heated seats. The back seats also come with built in shade blockers. The detail of the car is like that of a luxury brand with wood trim throughout the car. The car has high value for the price you pay. The car has a orange sign that lights up on the side mirrors when a car is next to you so that changing lanes becomes safer. It comes with many amenities that other brands do not give for the same price.
Story
I had a fun road trip in my car from Bay Area to Southern California.
Pros
My favorite features are the bluetooth connection to my phone to play music, heated seats, and the warning beeper when trying to change lanes.
Cons
The only negative thing I would consider is that it doesn't have more power so it doesn't accelerate the fastest.

I didn't have to haggle to get a great price. The salesmen were friendly and didn't make me, a young, female driver, feel uncomfortable.
