A great family car
The Nissan Rogue is a great family car. The MPG is very acceptable for the type of vehicle. It does take a while to get up to speed due to the power weight ratio, but it is not designed for racing, and is acceptable for the vehicle class. The CVT transmission is very smooth. The car is extremely comfortable front and rear with plenty of legroom. It has very good official safety ratings and feels very solid indeed. It has now done 70k miles and there have been no mechanical or electronic issues, just the regular maintenance. The AWD is especially useful during the Midwest winters! The iPod connector is a godsend for long journeys. The stereo in general is of good quality. In this trim level, there is no navigation system built in. As a family car, it is immensely practical with copious cupholders, plenty of cargo space. The rear seats are easily split table for expansion to fit large items. The only real issue would be the blind spot visibility, which is very poor due to the positioning and sturdiness of the C pillars. Looks are a personal thing, but I like them.
Excellent Mid-Priced SUV
I have owned the Nissan Rogue for 3 years. In that time I have yet to experience any mechanical break downs. With regular servicing, this car always starts up and never has any issues. It rides as smooth as it did when I first purchased the car.
