The reliability of this car has been the best of any I've owned or driven. I have over 130,000 miles on the odometer and the only have had to do regular maintenance on the vehicle. It's free of any rattles, thunks or bumps and still performs as well as it did when I bought the vehicle new over a decade a go. The 3800 V6 engine provides plenty of power for accelerating or passing while still delivering better than 30 miles to the gallon the highway. The styling of the car is somewhat aggressive and the chromed pieces, tailpipes and wheels, provides a pleasant shape to look at and is superior to other cars that have more of a drab, appliance like styling. The car also provide a lot of space, a huge trunk with fold down rear seats that allows one to put a lot of cargo into it.
Story
I've spent a lot of time in this car. I've done a lot of highway miles on road trips. I think the most memorable thing about the car is none of those road trips became about breaking down or needing service, it is a very reliable car.
Pros
The styling is a plus. The car has good gas mileage while also having excellent performance. The car's reliability has been great. The car's performance hasn't diminished with age. The car doesn't possess any quirky styling or features that don't work.
Cons
The gas mileage in the city could be better. Some of the knobs on the dash cluster have needed to be replaced multiple times. The chrome on the outside needs a lot of work to remain looking nice.

The Pontiac Grand Am is my husband's car which we inherited from my little brother. This car LOOKS great!! We have a beautiful bright red one, and it stands out in the crowd! My husband takes the car to work daily for his transportation.
Story
I don't really have any stories, other than dependable, dependable, dependable!!!
Pros
The advantages of this car include the fact that this car is VERY dependable. It has made many multi-state trips and never failed us. We seldom have to have it repaired. The gas mileage is good; unfortunately, I don't have an exact number for you for miles per gallon. This car handles well regarding acceleration and braking. When we drive the car, it feels safe. The smaller size makes it easier to park than our other vehicle which is a minivan.
Cons
Some of the disadvantages are that this car doesn't have a lot of leg room. The family is a little cramped while riding in it. When I drive the car (and I'm short), I kind of "sink down," and it's difficult for me to see behind me over the tops of the seats. Also, over time something is a little out of sync with the keys and the steering column, where only one key works to start the car. I'm not sure how difficult this would be to repair.
