Overall, I really like the Smart ForTwo. This car is compact, but doesn't feel cramped in the slightest. It has plenty of leg room and head room. It has enough space in the back to haul groceries or laundry along with a second passenger. Most people assume that it doesn't have much power, but I can easily take it up steep hills and get it to freeway speeds without a problem. The only real negative about this car, other than being in an odd position if you have more than one passenger, is the transmission. The automated manual transmission takes some time to get used to. I would describe it as both a great manual transmission and a poor automatic transmission. It's a great manual transmission due to the fully automatic clutch, which makes it a lot easier to use as a manual transmission.... (more)
Story
There was lots of interest from people who had never seen one when the car was first released. People were always asking me about the fuel efficiency, the size of the tires, whether or not it can get up hills, how much headroom, etc. After a few years, when the Smart was more common, the questions died down.
Pros
Easy to park, comfortable, stylish, good fuel efficiency, and fun.
Cons
Odd transmission, only takes premium grade fuel, automatic wipers don't always know when to turn on, odd blind-spots, and no room for a third person in the car.
