ForTwo is pretty good
Overall, I really like the Smart ForTwo. This car is compact, but doesn't feel cramped in the slightest. It has plenty of leg room and head room. It has enough space in the back to haul groceries or laundry along with a second passenger. Most people assume that it doesn't have much power, but I can easily take it up steep hills and get it to freeway speeds without a problem. The only real negative about this car, other than being in an odd position if you have more than one passenger, is the transmission. The automated manual transmission takes some time to get used to. I would describe it as both a great manual transmission and a poor automatic transmission. It's a great manual transmission due to the fully automatic clutch, which makes it a lot easier to use as a manual transmission. But as an automatic transmission, it has a few minor shortcomings. I have noticed the computer struggle to decide which gear to shift to when driving less than ten miles per hour, and sometimes the transmission slips when shifting quickly into reverse, but these are relatively minor issues. In general it's small, comfortable, and fairly (but not amazingly) fuel efficient.
