I've been following the Subaru BRZ since it was a concept car. I love how it stayed true to its roots as an economical sports car with almost 50/50 weight distribution and excellent handling. The Limited trim comes with alcantara lined bucket seats, very easy to clean and does not get too hot even during the central Texas summers. The cabin has enough space for me (I am 5 foot 11) up front but not much room in the rear seats unless you have young kids back there. Trunk has about as much room as my 2007 BMW 335i, enough to haul groceries, and minor duties. The rear seats fold down to give more carrying capacity as well. The build quality is excellent from the Subaru boxer engine and six speed manual transmission to the stock limited slip differential. I have not had any mechanical issu... (more)
Story
Driving this vehicle in the rain or in a twisty road is a pleasure. The car is very predictable and responds great to driver input.
Pros
Gas mileage has been fantastic. During break in I drove it on the highway and averaged 33 miles per gallon, and after a year of mixed highway/city use, I am averaging 29 miles per gallon. The car is extremely fun to drive even though it does not have very fast straight line acceleration. This car has all kinds of airbags, and received very good safety ratings.
Cons
The car's limits are really defined during cornering. Stock 17 inch tires are not very grippy and do not fare well in the rain, but they make cornering very predictable.
