Overall, this is a very solid car that is really safe. It had side airbags, and it is difficult to rollover when cornering. It is able to take turns really well and does not handle like an SUV. It is very off-road capable and can drive on ice without losing control. It can also be used to tow small loads. A large negative is the unreliable parts and the difficulty of working in it. Previous generation were easier to work on and had less problems. It's also a Subaru, so you will have to replace the head gaskets after about 100k miles.

I like how quick and peppy the CVT transmission is, especially compared to normal automatic transmissions. The windows being so large lessens blind spots. The turn radius makes parking lots and U-turns easy. The styling on the car isn't trying too hard, and the interior is clean and easy to use. The vehicle height makes ramping curbs easy when necessary. The seating is very comfortable for the front and back seats. The all-wheel drive system makes driving in adverse weather, i.e., heavy rain and ice, extremely easy. I have also taken this through rocky terrain with no problems.
