The Original Crossover
The Subaru Forester is one of the original crossovers, and in my opinion the best of them all. I have the Premium model which includes paint matched trim, rear spoiler, factory mud flaps and alloy wheels giving it a nice look. The Premium model also includes one of the largest moon roof's I've ever seen. The moon roof stretches back over the rear seats, giving the rear passengers the same experience as the front passengers. The interior is well designed and thought out to be the most utilitarian car interior out there. It has storage pockets and compartments located all over from front to back. There are three power outlets, one even in the rear cargo area. I have had compliments on the comfort of the seats, which are extremely comfortable especially on long trips. Speaking of cargo, the amount of cargo space is ridiculous for a car this size. The rear cargo area is very large and tall, and the 40/60 split rear seats fold down to give and incredible amount of space. All wheel drive gives the Subaru Forester a very solid sure-footed feel. I'm amazed how well it grips the road, certainly more than you'd expect from a wagon. And whether you are driving on pavement, dirt roads or in snow, the Forester handles spectacularly. Subaru are known for their boxer engines, and the 2.5 Boxer engine in my Forester is really sporty. Fuel economy is excellent if you are conservative with the throttle, but if you need power and moderate speed, the boxer engine comes through.

Good, compact crossover.
My vehicle is a leader in the compact crossover/SUV market. It is small and gets good gas mileage and although small, makes efficient use of space. It is surprisingly roomy inside. It is rated as highly dependable, and although most would not describe it as luxurious, it is more on the practical side.
