Overall, I have been disappointed with this car. I previously owned a 2001 Toyota Corolla and loved it. I feel like Toyota has really done a hatchet job on these cars. The interior especially. While the interior on the 2001 Corolla was well appointed, the interior on this one seems really cheap. It just feels like they have sacrificed quality since so many people buy these cars now.

I purchased this car from a rental agency after my 2000 VW Passat bit the dust. PROs: Gas mileage is phenomenal. I keep pretty good records on this and it averages over 40 MPG, summer is about 43 and winter down to 37. Reliability. Nothing has broken on this car, Shortly after I got it there was a recall for a ignition module or something like that. I also needed a $50 weld job on an exhaust pipe. I did replace the serp belt at 180K, but that's it other than oil, tires and gas. Still got original brakes. Now have about 215K on it. Easy on tires, I usually get about 75K per set CONs: Very small car, a bit noisy, I wish the back seat would fold down farther to provide a bit more room when transporting long items (although you can transport 10' pieces of pipe with the trunk shut
