I like the body style of the Highlander. It is one of the first things that caught my attention. I have always driven Toyota vehicles, because I found them to be reliable, and the Highlander is no exception. I have never had any mechanical or instrumental problems with it since purchasing it. I like that the engine is powerful enough for anything that I may need it for, such as towing. There a few things that I don't like about, such as the reverse camera not having lines to indicate distance, but they are minor inconveniences. I would recommend this vehicle to a friend.
Story
I have lots of good memories of hooking our boat up to the vehicle and then driving to various bodies of water on vacation. Any road trips we have taken in the vehicle as a family have been fun adventures.
Pros
I liked the body style for the vehicle. I like that it has a reverse camera and integrated Bluetooth technology for hands-free calling. Although I did not get premium leather seats, I have found that the standard cloth seats are easy to clean, which is a big plus with children and pets. The vehicle also offers third row seating, which is a plus when the kids want space to stretch out. The vehicle also offers separate climate controls for the backseat in the event that the children don't want as much as air conditioning as the adults.
Cons
I noticed that the reverse camera does not have lines on it to indicate distance like most cars do. That is a minor issue but one that I have noticed. Although the vehicle gets decent mileage, it doesn't perform as well as I would like with gas prices being what they currently are. When the third row seating is engaged, there is not much trunk space left over. The tow package also did not come standard with the vehicle and was an additional cost. That was a bit of a hassle as well.

I love my 2012 Toyota Highlander. It can seat 7 comfortably with the 3rd row engaged, while still leaving a portion of 'trunk' space. When not needing to seat 7, the 3rd row lies down flat to give a huge 'trunk' space. My dogs love this trunk space for long car rides, especially my Pug. The second row can configure to seat 2, with an arm rest/cup holder in between, OR it can seat 3 with a seat in the middle. Gas mileage is ok in the city, but really impressive for Highway miles given the size of the SUV. I get around 24 MPG on the Highway. Interior noise is very muffled to almost non existent. The sunroof is great for a cool Fall day, or a warm Spring day. It's best to close the sunroof in rain, otherwise you'll be an unhappy driver. The Bluetooth and hands free capabilities are great,... Great for tailgating at concerts!
Pros
Seats 7 comfortably Large trunk area with 3rd row disengaged Multiple seating configurations Hands free/Bluetooth capability Quiet interior cabin Highway gas mileage impressive for SUV
Cons
City gas mileage is low Tires are very expensive Tiny storage space with 3rd row engaged Not suitable for a family with more than 2 children

When I walked into the dealer ship the treated me as an actual person and didn't pressure me into getting any car. It was such a great experience and they where so helpful with any questions I had about the certain type of car I wanted.

I like this place because the sales people are paid a flat rate regardless of the price of the car they sell. This was good because they do not pressure you to try to get something more expensive than you want or can afford. The atmosphere was very relaxed there and they weren't pushy at all. They were able to help me find what I wanted within 30 minutes and they had the vehicle moved from another dealership 1.5 hour away for free. It was ready for me to test drive the next day.
