My 2006 Toyota Matrix is a tremendous economy company car. If you just do the most basic of maintenance on the car, it can last a really long time. I currently have over 150,000 miles on my 2006 Matrix, and it shows no signs of breaking down. The ride is extremely smooth. The controls are easy to manage. For a compact car, it is roomy on the inside. Unlike most compact cars, the seats are quite comfortable. Whereas most small, compact cars have seats that the plus-size person cannot comfortably sit in, the Toyota Matrix is just the opposite. For a larger person, such as myself, I find the seats to be roomy, cushiony and very comfortable. Being able to fold down the rear seats, provides the ability to put a lot of cargo in the back of the car. The only real negatives I have fou... (more)
Story
My best memory in my Toyota Matrix was getting to drive on Daytona Beach with my wife. She had never driven on the beach before, and it was a real treat for her.
Pros
The top positive in this car for me is the reliability. With simply oil changes, air filter changes, and keeping it clean, the Toyota Matrix will run for ten years or more.
Cons
The main negatives are the lack of power features, such as the seats and side view mirrors. Also, an aux jack in the stereo would be phenomenal.

The 2006 Toyota Matrix is a tremendous economy vehicle. I have owned this car since it was purchased new off the sales lot in early 2006. My Toyota Matrix has been driven over 190,000 miles in the 11 years I've owned it. While I have not been the best at maintaining my Matrix properly, it has still performed great. I've gone as long as 10,000 miles or more between oil changes with no negative effect on the car's performance. The quality of the sounds the come from the stereo system is top notch. I am always listening to music while driving my Matrix, and I love that the stock radio rivals most anything else I've heard in other cars. Additionally, there is a lot of storage room in this compact vehicle. My wife and I are DJs, so we go from job to job carrying a lot of heavy audio... (more)
Story
My favorite experience with my Toyota Matrix was driving on Daytona Beach, Florida with my wife. She had never driven on a beach before, and our Matrix took us there.
Pros
The top positive things about my Toyota Matrix are the following: great sound from the stereo system, unfailing reliability, and very little maintenance is required to keep the car running in top condition.
Cons
The only real negative I found is that it does not have an "aux" jack on the stereo. I like to stream music using Apple Music, and to have a place to plug my phone into the stereo system, would be perfect.

I am a Hispanic and I don't understand too much about cars, so it was really important to me find the right place to speak to someone in my native language that could explain to me everything I needed to know about the car that I was getting.
