I absolutely love my Prius. When I bought it, it was already eight years old with about 75,000 miles, but two years and 30,000 miles later, I still haven't had any significant problems. The gas mileage remains exceptional, the ride smooth, and it has all the features I need. I'm not a "car guy," my vehicles just need to get me from A to B, and for those purposes this car has been perfect.
Story
I drive this car everywhere, but my favorite is driving into Washington DC to take my dog for a walk by all the monuments at night!
Pros
The car is comfortable, gets great mileage, and is extremely reliable. Despite being a 2010 it has all the features I could ask for - Bluetooth, GPS, back-up camera, USB ports, etc. It is also very roomy - I fold the back seat down for my dog, and she loves how much room she has to walk around while I'm driving. The reliability is also exceptional; many of my friends purchased new cars more recently than I bought an eight-year-old Prius, and have spent far more on maintenance that I have.
Cons
If you're someone who wants their car to be a status symbol, I guess this probably isn't for you - unless you just want to show people that you're vaguely environmentally conscious. The acceleration is also a bit slow, but not to the point that it's ever a problem.

I loved the fuel economy aspect of the car. The average mpg is above 50. Mpg is especially great for city drivers. There is a barometer that tells you how much your travel cost in a dollar amount. The car is relatively inexpensive and very quiet and comfortable. I have seen many Prius' being driven until 200k+. Maintenance cost is relatively inexpensive, and the car is reliable in general. The design is not top-notch.
Story
Since I live in an area with heavy traffic, there are cases when I see more Prius cars than non-Prius cars on the road.
Pros
I like the fuel economy, and the trunk of the car for storage. I can regularly carry four men, and it has huge space for groceries. I like keyless entry, the back up camera, and the push-start button. I also like the wipers in the rear window.
Cons
The drive is not as smooth on highways. If you use ECO mode, acceleration can be somewhat slow. Battery can be expensive to replace. I personally do not like the design. I wish there was a non-hatchback version of the Prius. Navigation is useless because it is inferior compared to Google Maps. Also, there is a pretty big blind spot. The passenger seat is a bit small. I do now like the design of newer models (2016 and up).
