This car is a great value if you are looking for a simple, affordable car to get you from point A to point B without paying for additional expensive features. The car drives well and gets decent gas mileage, though it does not accelerate quickly at all and can be a bit loud when driving. It is small and compact, making it easy to drive in cities, but the bad turning radius makes it difficult to parallel park. The car has the standard Ford radio and is otherwise stripped of all extras you would find in a car, like cruise control, automatic locks, automatic windows, and more than three speeds of windshield wiper. The car has required minimal maintenance, making even more affordable in the long term. In summary, if you need a cheap, reliable car, this fits the bill but know that it will h... (more)
Story
The first time I tried to parallel park in Charlottesville, I couldn't fit my car in the spot and backed up traffic for about ten minutes, because I got stuck and couldn't pull it out of the spot either. It was embarrassing, and I learned that my car was not good a parallel parking.
Pros
This car is affordable and reliable, with good gas mileage and low required maintenance. It has been a great car for me throughout college and beyond as I save up for something nicer.
Cons
The car is not luxurious. There is no cruise control, automatic locks, automatic windows, heated seats, or any other extras you might want. It does not accelerate quickly and has a terrible turning radius.

2007 Ford Focus - It serves the purpose.

I like the fact that this vehicle is simple without a bunch of electronics that can require specialized, expensive repair. It is a smooth ride, even after being driven many miles. It also has not needed any major repairs, even though it is over ten years old. It has only needed basic upkeep such as replacing bulbs, brake pads, etc.
Story
I have driven this car through several states on vacation. It handled well with no issues, and my children were comfortable during the long ride.
Pros
I like the fact that it has manual windows instead of power. This reduces the likelihood of needing an expensive repair if the windows should stop functioning. It also reduces the likelihood of damage to the windows if the window should be left down while it is raining. I also like the general design of the vehicle. It's attractive without being too sporty, which I find obnoxious. It also has driver and passenger side airbags, which gives a feeling of safety and less worry in an accident.
Cons
This car has little traction on a wet road. Even a small amount of rain can easily cause this car to hydroplane. I've also noticed that it seems to wear out tires quite fast. I also dislike the fact that it does not have cruise control. My previous vehicles have all had cruise control, and I always found that to be a useful feature while driving long distances.
