I really like it. My first truck and it performs solidly without a hitch. I've had it for one year so far and the majority of the time I used it in Colorado Springs, so there were a lot of hills to climb. During winter time, the Tacoma handled exceptionally well in icy conditions.
Story
Never towed a trailer before because my first time moving from Colorado to California. I towed the trailer through a blizzard and up and down mountains during a snowstorm. I was extremely afraid but the truck enabled me to drive through the conditions without slipping too much, especially after I turned on the 4wd. I was scared, but the truck made me feel safe.
Pros
Handling is extremely good. Towing capabilities in adverse weather conditions and with slick roads was excellent when handled with care. I love the access cab that allows me to store extra belongings and even give rides to two extra people. The Bluetooth is excellent as I can make and receive calls without even touching my phone. I can use my care stereo to also synch with my music player and scroll through it.
Cons
Gas mileage is relatively poor compared to other Toyota vehicles like the Rav4. But relatively neutral/better than other truck varieties.

The Tacoma is very reliable, durable, reliable and useful truck. The truck looks good, drives great. I bought my truck with about 125,000 miles and I've put almost 55,000 more miles on it and it is still running great. Maintenance is easy on this truck. The truck is comfortable and has great carrying capacity. I love the long bed on the truck. The gas mileage was pretty much spot on with what the EPA estimated, combined about 19-20. I love this truck and would DEFINITELY recommend it to a friend and/or buy another one. It is a very safe and fun to drive truck.
Story
-taking it camping and back on off road trails was a BLAST

-4x4 is great -Reliability of the truck is GREAT -The Tacoma can take a beating and keep on going like nothing ever happened
