I've always liked Volkswagen but the Passat is the first one I've ever owned. I've had it for a little over a year and have put almost 25000 miles on it so far. I've been very pleased so far. The car is responsive, has a very quiet ride, is probably the most comfortable car that I've ever owned. I get around 30 mpg overall (with the majority of that being highway driving) which is about what I expected.

The 2002 Volkswagen Passat is a very attractive car. I purchased this car after conducting several reviews that each displayed that this car was reliable, powerful (V6) engine, and maintained good gas mileage. Since the Passat is a very popular car, I was able to go to my local dealership and compare three to four used Passats before I made my decision. After purchasing this vehicle, I realized that it was powerful, however it had bad gas mileage and needed constant maintenance.
