Great car
In a nutshell, the VW Jetta is a great mid sized car. We bought it new in 2006 and haven't had any trouble with it to speak of. It is a turbo diesel and gets great gas mileage. It averages about 40 mpg in the winter and 36-38 in the summer months. We only have to fill up about once every two weeks! The car has been on several road trips, even spring break to Panama City with three girls and all their luggage, etc. We could not have packed another thing in the trunk, but it held luggage for four people with no problem. It has also been our "truck" on several occasions. With the pass through door in the back seat we have been able to haul things like shepherds hooks for plants that would not fit in an ordinary trunk. To date, we have close to 200,000 miles on this vehicle. It has been in a couple of minor accidents, but, like the Timex watch, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. We replaced the timing belt around 100,000 miles at the recommendation of a trusted mechanic. The car has now been passed on to my daughter. I don't have any anxiety about her driving it even with almost 200,000 miles. I believe it is a very safe and dependable car for her. We intend to keep driving it for a good while. When the time comes to buy another car, I would not hesitate to buy another Volkswagen. It has been the most dependable car we have ever owned.

Great!
I love this car. I get great gas mileage. I can go a couple of weeks without filling up the gas tank. I love the color of my car, it is white. It never looks dirty. The leather interior is easy to keep clean. The car is on the small size though.

Great car for being single with no kids
I really did like the fact that this car was amazing on gas. I loved the style and the look of the car. I had the car in a navy. I liked the fact that the car always looked like it was clean and I didn't have to take the car to get it waxed often. I drive 30 minutes a day to my job and I really got amazing gas miles. I loved the car over all but I did have a couple things that I did. It was hard to find any where locally that had the parts to work on my car when it had issues. My water pump went out and no one wanted to work on it. I had to take my car an hour away to the local dealership to be able to get my car fixed. I had a baby and trying to fit him in the car was very hard. This car is not for a family. It was a great car when I was single. It is also kind of nerve racking driving a newborn baby in such a tiny car. Overall I really did like the car. I will definitely in the future look to buy a bigger style.

Found a car in my price range right away and the paperwork for purchasing it was minimal as opposed to my other car buying experiences.
