I have previously owned Ford cars and was intent on not purchasing another one when it came time for a new (pre-owned) vehicle. I looked at several different cars - Chevy Sonic was actually at the top of my list. I test drove 3 of them and had actually decided on the Chevy but it so happened that the dealer I was going to purchase the car from at the last minute (we were actually completing the paperwork!) decided he had agreed to sell me the car at a price that was to low. I left the dealership very upset and angry and continued my search for a vehicle. A friend of mine actually saw the Ford Focus for sell by a private owner. I almost didn't go look at it because I was that determined to NOT get another Ford, but since I was having such a hard time finding a vehicle in my price range ... (more)
Story
I live in a VERY small town and I went to the store one day and came back out after shopping and tried to get in my car. Well, for some unknown reason the locks would not work. I am standing in the parking lot at my car hitting the buttons to unlock the doors (and I did notice when I would hit the button that I would hear a faint beep) but I'm standing in the parking lot beginning to get a lit... Pros
I love the room that I have in the car - it is very roomy and comfortable. I also love the radio and cruise control on the steering wheel. The gas mileage is great which is awesome considering the price of gas continuously going up and down. Since I am a widow, it is very nice to have the control to check the system - I push a button and it checks the doors, locks, brakes, tires, cooling and engine. That is probably my favorite feature of the car because it gives me the security I need without having to actually take the car and have everything checked by a mechanic which is never fun for ... Cons
I really cannot think of one negative thing to say about my Ford Focus. The only time I have EVER had an issue with the car was probably about 3 months after I purchased it and the "check engine" light came on. I automatically thought, okay, here it goes! But after reading the owners manual on things that might be wrong, and even going on "you tube" and watching videos, I figured out the reason the light came on was because I had not tightened the gas cap enough after purchasing gas! That is the only thing that has happened since I have owned the car.

The Toyota is wonderful. Maintenance and repairs are a dream because it seldom needs them! I find it quite comfortable, but I am short...It is not a car for big men. It works in a limited way 'off road' on ill maintained gravel roads and grassy areas such as campgrounds. The trunk space is beyond adequate. It has issues in the 'get up and go' department, which should be kept in mind for those who like to dash out in traffic or race up steep inclines - it's most definitely not the car for that. The gas mileage was superior in the 90s and adequate now. Very easy to maneuver in and out of traffic, and exceptionally easy to park given its compact size. The brakes are standard and work fine. The tires are an odd size so may have to be ordered in on occasion. I find it very comfortable to dr... (more)
Story
We were offroad on a camping trip and I had myself (driver), an adult male well over six feet tall in the front passenger seat and three VERY large boy scouts in the back seat. The phrase, "clown car" comes to mind.
Pros
I like the small size. I like the sturdiness of its build. I like that I can easily find parts. I like the low cost of the repairs. I like the trunk size. I like the seating. I like the manual windows and door locks.
Cons
I don't like the lack of 'get up and go'. I don't like that it sits so low to the ground that clearance can become an issue. I don't like that it has two separate restraints - one for the lap, and a second for the shoulders.

We had previously bought a car from this dealership, and felt loyalty towards them because of our first experience. They didn't haggle with us, just asked us what we wanted the trade difference to be and an hour later we were on the road. The second go around was a little different. We arrived late in the day after the banks were closed and so we were unable to make a satisfactory deal. The next morning they called us with several offers. After choosing the one we liked I drove back over, signed some papers and drove back home in a new car.

This dealership was very friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we got a decent loan. We didn't even think we would be able to get the loan because our credit was pretty bad from a few years ago when we had a few issues. This dealership was amazing. The salesman was very engaging and helped answer any questions and concerns we had. He spent several hours talking with us and helping us find just the right car and loan. I would absolutely do business with Madison County Ford again. They really care about their customers and will help you in whatever way they can.
