Fayetteville, AR Driving Tips
The speed limit on this road is a smooth 45 mph and I believe it suites the area very well. Definitely pay attention to turning lanes and 'this way only' lanes. Also, because this is a college town, be cautious of students and newcomers. Be especially careful during football season, as the traffic gets pretty hectic. I would suggest using alternate routes during football season. During early morning hours, lunch time and after school hours, it's quit busy and traffic can be difficult. I would again suggest using alternate routes, if possible, during these times. Other than peak hours, you can expect a peaceful driving experience; minus the few traffic signals.
Fayetteville, AR Buying Tips
First thing you need to know about buying a car in this city is to beware of small lots that over charge. It may seem scary to go to the bigger lots because you fear high down payments or being turned away, but that's not always true. Secondly, I suggest researching the type of vehicle your looking for to help narrow down your choices. Sites like Autotrader.com, AutoList.com and KBB.com can definitely make your search easier. It is also important to check reviews on each dealership or car lot to compare and sort out the not so good ones. Lastly, don't be afraid to talk salesmen down on and look for discounts or deals online. From personal experience, wait to the end of the month, when it is crunch time, because they are more likely to reduce prices just to make the sale. Most dealerships are so competitive with surrounding ones, they will even slash prices if they find out the vehicle is cheaper elsewhere.
Favorite driving memory
As soon as we crossed into Fayetteville I knew we'd love it. We are huge Razorback fans, so to live in the heart of Razorback nation is incredible. My favorite memory from driving around in Fayetteville would definitely be seeing Razorback Stadium. Neither my husband or I have ever been to a football game, much less a Razorback game. I remember the moment we passed the stadium we both looked at each other and smiled. We can't wait for football season to start so we can go back to that stadium and watch our beloved Razorbacks play in their first game of the season. We moved to this town to not only pursue our careers, but to raise our family in a town with opportunity as well as a great college. We've only been in this town for about two weeks now, but we have already starting making memories.
Favorite road
Our favorite route to take is down Futrall Drive. Furtrall Drive travels right through the middle of Fayetteville. You can get to just about anywhere from this road. Whether you want fast food, restaurants, hotels, shopping or Starbucks, this is your road. Above all, you can get right to Razorback Road, which leads right to the stadium. It definitely is easy to navigate, due to the fact that you can see just about any place your looking for without the distraction of big buildings. When we first came to this town, we thought it would be a nightmare to find anything. After we found our hotel, on S Futrall Drive, we noticed not only was there a Wal-Mart, but our favorite fast food burger joint was right next to it. This is by far one of the best routes to take when visiting Fayetteville.

Fayetteville, AR Driving Tips
It's good to know shortcuts and how to cut across time, especially if there is heavy traffic during rush hour or especially when the Razorbacks are playing a home game on Saturday.
Fayetteville, AR Buying Tips
I don't think there is anything special about car buying here. The area has its share of new and used auto dealers, though I'm sure if you want the best deals for a used vehicle you would go through private sale on Craigslist or through the local newspaper, NWADG.
Favorite driving memory
I like driving to the main farmers market on the square. Since I live closer to Bentonville than Fayetteville, I don't go often. However, the vibe at the Fayetteville market is definitely of a college town, with some hippies thrown in the mix.
Favorite road
College. Though many would consider College to be just a commercial road, it provides great access from the end of the connector, to the top of Dickson Street, all the way down to the lower part of Fayetteville. Most of my shopping and favorite restaurants are either on the road or just a short drive from it. If you are approaching Fayetteville either from the north or south, and want to avoid going through the university proper, it's a good choice.
