While driving in this city, as well as others in the area, people should beware of the people and police. Law enforcement is heavy, therefore, providing safe neighborhoods and shopping environments. So, driving a few miles over the speed limit and/or texting while driving should definitely be prohibited. There is a lot of crime in parts of Jackson, MS as well, so just be safe. I would not recommend getting out of the car on the highway at night to fix a tire.

My favorite memory from driving in Jackson, has to be when I saw my old teacher in traffic. It was around Christmas time last year to be exact. So we're on I-55 driving a little bit under the speed limit due to the rain. I heard a loud, long horn. It was so loud I thought it was the 18 wheeler in front of me. She blew the horn long again, startling me yet again. This time, I swerved and slowed down. I looked in my rear view mirror, and to my surprise, I saw Ms. Mitzi Southward. She was my Algebra I teacher in high school. I had not seen her in years. I was extremely excited and surprised at the same time. How did she know it was me. My car is a neon, bright, red, with black and silver rims. I understand that my car is noticeable but I definitely did not have it in high school. So how did she know it was me? We exchanged waves, and flagged each other down. We both pulled over on the side of the highway and talked for 30 mins. That was the shortest 30 mins ever. I did not realize how time flew because we had so many memories to encounter. We had so many stories to catch up on. Before we departed, we exchanged numbers and now we talk regularly.

I-55 and County Line Rd. I-55 is the hwy that takes me from here in Cleveland, MS all the way to Jackson, MS. I am comfortable on this interstate because I am familiar with it and it is hardly ever crowded. I also love County Line Rd. I use this road to get to my best friend's house and all the major malls. There is a long strip of shopping centers that I visit in the Diamond Shopping Center. My main purpose of County Line Rd. though, is to avoid all the streets on my commute to North Park Mall in Ridgeland, MS.

Be careful with the speed limit areas that are not very noticeable or warned very much ahead of time and can seem to be speed traps. Be sure to carry a GPS so as not to get confused getting on and off highways and neighborhood roads that can be confusing.

There are a variety of car dealers throughout the city and to the best of my knowledge there are available both ways. Most of them should be located in the city itself.

This is a city that doesn´t have a great deal of traffic and it isn´t hard to find a place to park. Also, places are relatively nearby so that one doesn't have to go very far to get the essentials done. It is not a very cosmopolitan city meaning there are a great deal of spaces and cars are not crowded in, but there are a lot of open spaces and it is easy to move around.

Natchez Trace Parkway. This is a scenic road that runs through a kind of protected national park which is only forests, lakes and no towns that runs relatively near towns but doesn´t go into them. It has speed relatively low and it is good just to enjoy scenery and to travel calmly and without oa hurry. It runs the state from south to north.
