I bought this vehicle new in 2006 and still have it today. I have had no major mechanical issues with this car. The Chevy blazer has been a great little compact SUV for me. The exterior has held up well. Paint is still in good shape. The headlights are just now beginning to fog up. The interior space is comfortable with space for four/five.
Story
My husband and I took a road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway in this car. We loaded the back with to backpacks and an ice chest and off we went. We stopped at every little rinky dink dive along the way. We ate to much, drank to much and shopped to much, but it is one of our fondest memories.
Pros
It maneuvers well, yet still has the capability to carry luggage, groceries, building supplies etc..... Fuel economy is good for an SUV type vehicle, getting an average of about 25 miles/ gal. on the freeway. The in-line 6 cylinder motor is quick to respond and has plenty of power for this mid size SUV.
Cons
The CD player stopped working after about a year. The Bose system sounds great, but now I have CDs trapped in it forever. Over the last couple of years we have started to have to electrical issues. Windshield wipers only working intermittently. Stereo staying on after the door has been opened and the keys removed.

My trailblazer is my first SUV & I couldn't be happier with it. I like that it rarely needs maintenance and at almost 150k miles it still runs great. The freeway I drive on regularly is fast paced and I am able to keep up with sports cars most of the time! The fuel economy could be better, but for long drives it still meets my expectations. The cabin is spacious & the A/C works well. I enjoy every ride, short or long! Would definitely consider buying the same model newer one day.
Story
Going to the beach in Santa Barbara, CA with my husband, son, best friend & dog. The car has enough room to hold everyone comfortably- even once wet & sandy!
Pros
My favorite features are the size and security I feel in the car. I was in a car accident where I was sandwiched between two other cars and I walked away with no injuries - only a scratch on my car, meanwhile the other two were badly damaged. The maintenance is minimal, mostly just regular oil changes. The interior is comfortable leather.
Cons
The fuel economy could be better but even for a bigger SUV, it still isn't too bad.
