I have been driving my 2009 Chevy Cobalt for almost 2 years now, and it has been nothing but wonderful. It seats 5, with hardly any discomfort. The gas mileage is astounding considering how little it takes to fill up. I have driven it over 60,000 miles and experienced no problems whatsoever, making it the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. The acceleration is a little slow sometimes, but it isn't anything major unless you're looking to race it. I have plenty of friends who I pick up from the airport, and even their largest suitcases and guitars fit in the trunk. For a little car, that is phenomenal. On the topic of little cars, being able to park it pretty much anywhere comes in handy in urban areas, especially being a student in a city. My stereo works great. The only issue I ha... (more)
Story
Many of my friends also drive Chevy Cobalts, and often times we travel in "packs." We call ourselves the Cobalt Gang, and we always laugh whenever we see each other drive by in our small town.
Pros
My favorite features of this vehicle have to be the gas mileage, and the trunk space. I have younger cousins and siblings that I drive around often, and being able to store their car seats in my trunk with no hassle is extremely convenient. I also drive up to 80 miles a day, and only have to get fuel about once a week or so. It takes about 11 gallons, so filling up is not that expensive. That, to me, is the top reason to buy a Cobalt.
Cons
When I bought my vehicle, it was used, so it came with a few quirks. To date, the cruise control does not work, which can be annoying on long drives. Also, my tire gauge does not fully function correctly, so I have to constantly check my tire pressure.

It's a great car to drive and my favorite used car purchased so far. I love the fact that it has a USB port to charge and listen to music and/or use with Google Maps or other app directions. I wish it would have had wireless Bluetooth connection for your phone for calls. It does not handle the best in the snow, but it is a lot better than other cars that size. It also has a hitch which is handy for a small trailer or one person pop up camper. I have not tried to tow anything heavier yet. The heating kicks on quickly and cooling does the same. The trunk is a great size for storage and you could fit a ton of groceries in there. It accelerates great. I have found issues with the sensors going out. The tire pressure sensor went out first and two read a constant zero. I also cannot figure o... (more)
Story
Driving up through the mountains of Colorado was a blast. It could not only handle it, but the USB allowed for music along the way when there were no radio stations available.
Pros
USB charger and syncing to the audio. Trunk size. Reliability.
Cons
Sensors going out quickly and having issues with them. Issues programming my own key fob. No Bluetooth speaker.

The Cobalt is really nice when it comes to gas mileage and being able to pick up speed. For a small car, the inside feels spacious and it has a nice trunk size. The interior is nice without much wear. There seem to be issues with the suspension which is a bit disappointing and there have been some minor fixes that were recalled. The headlights could be brighter, but that is an easy fix. The wipers seem to go bad quickly but it could just be the wipers. It gets warm really quick in winter and stays warm. It has an RDS receiver which I enjoy when listening to the radio. The power windows are nice but originally one of the back ones stopped going down and needed to be fixed. I haven't had that problem again. When the car needs maintenance, it is relatively affordable since it is a general... (more)
Story
I took it to the beach with my nieces. We had a great time, but then it started to rain so we had to go sit in the car. We listened to music and laughed.
Pros
Gas mileage and the cost were definitely top. It also was nice that it had a sporty yet conservative look and feel to it.
Cons
The suspension hasn't held well and there also seem to be tiny electrical issues.

Sales team and service are both outstanding. They take time with customers and make sure your needs are being met. Willing to go the extra mile. Brett was outstanding to work with, I would go back to him the next time I am in need of a vehicle.
