The Chevy Cobalt is a cute car. It is about mid size in car sizes. That makes it fit just about anywhere. It is easy to drive and gets great gas mileage. The cabin has enough room for 5 adults. It has a nice interior, clean and straight forward. It does not come in a new model. This means there is no computer screen or technology however. The car drives very well. It hugs the road and gets up to speed quickly. It does not seem to have very many blind spots. You can see around you very well. Maintenance for this vehicle is not very costly. This makes it a good vehicle for people just starting out, a first vehicle purchase. Another reason it is a good first vehicle is that it's speeds do not reach extreme limits. All in all, I give this vehicle a B+ rating.
Story
The only fun time I can remember off hand is taking the car on a road trip with my friends. We had a blast driving around and seeing sights.
Pros
The pros on the Chevy Cobalt are first, the gas mileage. Next, it has a good size for parking in tight spaces. Another pro is the upkeep. Oil changes are not that expensive. The interior is nice for the price range. It also has a cd player and heat and air. The trunk is surprisingly roomy for this size car. Also, it hugs the road, really gripping it. It drives very well. The exterior has a sport look which is another pro. Safety features are good on this car. It has airbags that can be turned on and off. The speakers are very good for music as well. Another pro is the quiet ride this car o... (more)
Cons
The most negative thing about this car is the recalls from the manufacturer. This car had a ignition switch recall as well as a power steering recall. The fact that there are recalls for it and so many more from the manufacturer itself make this car untrustworthy. Another negative thing is the back seat. Yes, 3 people can fit. However, the fit is very tight. There really is not a lot of leg room in the back. It also has a low height cabin. For tall people you will definitely have to duck, or bend your head. While it does have good speakers, it does not keep the sound inside the vehicle. Th... (more)

2010 Chevrolet Cobalt - Overall a general sense of unease over the general build quality of the car.

The style quality of the car is favorable to other vehicles I have driven. In particular, the simplistic style of the car (the functionality, i.e., the switches on the steering wheel for electronic console indicators) which came with the base model of the car, was a positive attribute of the vehicle. From the initial purchase, there were several functionality issues (as well as service issues) with the car which led me to feel general unease towards the potentially "poor" build quality of the car. There was always a general recall for the vehicle over a faulty key ignition source. Generally, the vehicle has given me many problems over faulty parts.
Story
This vehicle has accompanied me through many fun journeys to local shows and venues. The general feel of the vehicle's "drive" is very smooth and the experience in the car feels a lot smoother than expected for a small car. Being able to get from my area to the venue area that I needed to in one full tank of gas is an important perk of owning this vehicle, as it is great on gas efficiency!
Pros
The vehicle style is simple and convenient. The size of the vehicle is generally larger than and more roomy than other vehicles of similar body styles I have driven. Gas conservation is a perk in this vehicle as it is a small, relatively compact car that is great on gas. Button placement in the vehicle is always convenient and non-cluttered. Trunk size was surprisingly larger than expected and always provided sufficient space for moving storage as I am an avid vintage equipment shopper and collector.
Cons
The vehicle interior seems cheaply built. The car seats are generally a bit too stiff, even for the base model of the vehicle. The air conditioning unit in these cars (specifically the 2010) model is known to have A/C issues. From the initial purchase of the vehicle, the air conditioning in the car failed and began expelling water. Car backseat seat belts seems cheaply made and break easily with moderate use. Another downfall is the lack of armrest (center console) for the driver in the front seat.

When going to purchase my car I felt that the customer service went above and beyond any basic expectations. The people were consistently polite and kind when answering my questions, and the consultants did everything they could to help me afford my new car since I was a college student.

I went to this dealership with my sister and was immediately greeted by a salesman who helped us find the car we were looking for. We had done some research beforehand and knew exactly what we wanted and the salesman didn't try to pressure us into anything else. Also, while waiting, the facility was very nice.
