Inexpensive and gets me from A to B, but has issues.
I purchased this car brand new off the lot in late 2009. It's a sturdy enough car, and eight years and 110,000+ miles later, it's still going just fine with minimal maintenance. I bought this while I was single and in college, which was perfect. However, I started having electrical issues very frequently after purchase. Within a few years, all but one of the speakers was broken, the turn signal no longer clicked, the radio turns itself off and changes settings on its own, the AUX input doesn't work, and I can't use the phone charger because it shorts my phones out. One of the plastic pieces where windshield fluid comes out broke off in some ice fairly early on, as well. I also had to have several recall issues fixed right after purchase. The trunk is large, though, and it maneuvers very easily, which is nice. It is only now starting to get small rust spots on the outside, and that's after 8+ years of use with no garage.

I like the shape, build and safety of my Chevy Cobalt.
I am very pleased with my 2006 Chevy Cobalt. It is a well built car. The exterior is cobalt blue with a tint of purple. I like the style, shape and dimensions. It is not a very large car. It is easy to maneuver in rush hour traffic, as well as slide into small parking spots without little to no effort. The interior is light gray in color and nearly maintenance free. We've had a couple of spills in our car, but they have been very easy to clean up. There is 120,000 miles on the car. Regardless, it has held up well for over a decade and with regular maintenance, I expect it to last another 10 years. I haven't had any major issues with repairs. However, when owning a car that is older than 10 years old; there are bound to be some maintenance and repair bills. The repairs for my Cobalt have been fairly reasonable in price. There was a recall issued for an ignition replacement. Thankfully, Chevrolet fixed that for me as soon as I contacted them. Although it is an economy car it has a very smooth ride. Four adults can ride comfortably. The trunk is quite spacious. I can haul groceries and supplies from the store with room to spare. Overall, this is one of the best cars I have owned.
