2013 Chevrolet Equinox - Over bloated piece of crap
At this point, anyone with a head on their shoulders knows that anything Chevrolet is a load of bollocks one way or another. That being said, due to my desperation of the moment and thinking it wasn't a sacrificial entry level car to meet EPA mpg's, I thought this to be a good buy. It was the worst financial decision of my life.
Story
It will forever be known as the first family car to me and that on it's own is enough to merit good feelings towards it, but on the whole, the vehicle has been an absolute drain on my finances.
Pros
It's spacious for a family without wasting any room and looks fairly sharp for the price paid. Efficiency of room is undoubtedly the best part of this vehicle. It is a full SUV without acting like it in drivability. For a full sized utility vehicle, it is quick off the gas and relatively fun to drive... when it is working and not in the shop.
Cons
Pretty much everything performance wise with this vehicle is poor. The transmission went out after 30,000 miles and the gas mileage is horrendous for the size of the car. Small things constantly create a hassle and due to the way everything is setup, it is near impossible to fix the most rudimentary of things.
