Chevy Impala is a great car!
I really do enjoy driving my Chevy Impala. Coming from a four-cylinder Nissan Altima, I wasn't prepared for the strength of the engine. I have never really driven fast before, but once I got the Impala, I found myself going over the speed limit a lot. There's a reason the police used the Impala as their police car; it gets up and goes! The trunk is unusually large. I can pack all kinds of stuff in there and still have room for more. It fits a full cooler and all the stuff for a BBQ. It does, unfortunately, cost more to fill up on gas than my Altima did, and that is really the only problem I have with the Impala. Another thing is the bumper is made very well. I have backed up into walls and poles trying to park, and I declare, the bumper wasn't ever scratched! It is also very roomy; it fits a carload of kids effortlessly.

Holds its own and then some
For someone who doesn't travel for work, I put a fair bit of mileage on this car. Over 60,000 miles in 3 1/2 years. And I don't always have the money to get routine maintenance done in time. But only recently, at over 120,000 miles, has it started to give me any trouble. And so far, it's all been manageable and reparable. If you take good care of it, the ride is incredibly smooth and quiet. In fact, the first time I sat in it, I didn't even realize the engine was running, it was so quiet. As fully gas vehicles go, the MPG is pretty great, especially if you do most of your traveling on the highway. The ventilation system is very efficient. The built-in sound system is acceptable for all but the most discerning of audiophiles. And I've never had an issue with the engine freezing or overheating in even the most finicky of weather. On top of all that, the dash display is the most informative of any car I've ever owned.
