2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - You can count on it no matter what!
The vehicle is an extended cab which is really nice when you have multiple passengers. The cab has plenty of leg room. There is a split rear seat which is nice if you want to pack items in the back instead of in the bed. The ride is smooth and quiet. We did not get heated seats this time, but I wish we did. We did get running boards which are really nice for people who aren't as physically nimble as they used to be.
Story
Driving to the local big box hardware store and getting mulch. Driving a truck just vs driving a smaller car just makes you feel different!
Pros
Favorite features include the spaciousness of the interior and the ability to haul stuff in the bed itself. If we need to switch to four wheel drive, we can do that from a feature within the cab instead of manually making the change on the wheels themselves. It is nice to have the outside temperature displayed on the dash. Another nice feature is the dual temperature controls. The power windows and adjustable outside mirrors from within the cab are a couple of other nice features.
Cons
Miles per gallon could be an issue for some.
1998 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - I love it
I love my truck. Not a lot of people believe that a short girl like me would drive such a huge truck, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love that I can stop at any curb and pick up any goodies that people through out. I'm able to help people move, and I never get stuck in the snow. I am the person that gets called to plow people out, and it makes me a more dependable worker because they know my mighty truck will make it through. The main thing I don't like is the gas mileage; it's awful.
Story
Once I got stuck in a huge muddy river because my friends and I were mudding. The guys had to push me out, resulting in all of them being naked because they had mud everywhere and I wouldn't let them back on my seats looking so bad.
Pros
The durability and just the fact that it's a Chevy ;)
Cons
I hate the gas mileage. This truck was born before gas mileage was such a big worry so it sucks gas like nobodies business.
