I purchased the vehicle used from a friend who had only put 30,000 miles on it so for me it was practically brand new. I knew I liked Trailblazer for a while now, since well they are everywhere, and if they were such a bad car why would everyone have one? They don't even make them anymore, my 2008 is the last year they made Trailblazers. Before buying it, I had spent a few weeks driving one, and that's how I knew I wanted one. For such a large car it is very easy to maneuver, easy to back up out of any space and easy to park. It has lots of space and the lay out inside is easily changed to make more space, and easily fits my dog. Also came with on/off 4 wheel drive, and it was easy to use, I have gone off road, I have towed a boat, I have had 400 lbs. of Cement in the back, I have gone... (more)
Story
We used to use my parents van for parade tail gating every year but once I got my trailblazer it became the new tail gate vehicle, very fun. The hatch opens two ways, and all of the seats fold down. There's even a step up if you want it climb in the back. We could then pop the seats back up for people and still have room to carry all the food, grill, and table in the back.
Pros
Being able to tow a boat without needing the added power of a pick up truck. Being able to carry a heavy load of rock in the tail gate. Being able to fit all of my friends one day, and then fold down the seats and fit a grill and a ladder the next day. I can tie down my kayak rather easily on the roof and not worry about it going places and the car isn't so tall that I can't get it back down later. I LOVE the sound system, BOSE all the way, all of my music sounds epic in this car. It has On star which I also thoroughly enjoy and Sirius XM radio. Comfy seats, good height above the road when... Cons
The stock tires that came with it see to be going prematurely bald which I guess is to be expected, except that they are Michelin and I thought they would last longer. So I am at 43,000 miles and already tire shopping. I have had to replace the Tie Rods, which was no big deal it wasn't terribly expensive. Also have had to replace the battery Twice already, but I don't think that it was the fault of the car I think it was the fault of an inexperienced Tech who doesn't know how to properly install a battery, at least that's what I am hopping. I've talked to a friend who had a trailblazer wit... (more)

I really enjoy this vehicle. It is sturdy and spacious and easy for me to handle. I went from driving a smaller car to driving this Trailblazer, and the initial difference was shocking and pleasant. It handles very well and responds fast when I brake and accelerate. I have never had a problem stopping in time, even on wet slippery roads. It gives me a very comfortable and safe feeling being behind its wheel. Since I got it in 2008 I have not had to do any maintenance on this vehicle aside from replacing a couple flat tires and windshield wipers. It has been amazingly resilient. The engine always runs smoothly and quietly. The mileage isn't fantastic but its not terrible either, I knew it would be a bit lower than a car since this is an SUV, so I can't really complain. The interior is... (more)
Story
After getting the SUV we decided we finally had enough room in it to pack enough stuff for a week long camping trip. It was the first time my husband and I went camping together and it remains one of my favorite memories. We packed up all the supplies we needed and just not off grid for a week. Nothing but us and the relaxing elements of nature. The trailblazer really allowed that to happen, t... (more)
Pros
Spacious. Safe feeling Handles and responds extremely well. Durable.
Cons
MPG isn't great. Outside appearance is bland. Passenger door can be a bit sticky when opening.
