The Chevy trailblazer is a great SUV for any buyer. Mine has run for 200,000 miles without any need for major repairs. Regular maintenance has kept it in very good shape for its age and mileage. I have only experienced minor issues with the electrical, like the A/C won't work on full blast and some of the lights don't work, but those could be easily fixed.
Story
Driving to the OBX for weekend trips. Having plenty of room for all of my gear and able to get around on minor off roading without 4WD was awesome.
Pros
There is a ton of trunk space! And it gets even bigger when you put the seats down. There's also a cover that you can pull over the trunk to hide what's in it, along with tinted windows in the back. The back window opens up separately from the trunk entirely if need be. There are roof racks to put anything that doesn't fit inside of the vehicle on as well. The front seats have lumbar support, which is a plus for an older car.
Cons
Gas mileage is not that great but it could be worse. The center console top has been dented, and the latch has broken off due to normal wear and tear. The back window hinges no longer keep it propped open on its own. And one of the motors in a back window has given out. No axillary cable or tape player. Not 4WD either. Most of the issues are easily fixed luckily.

First of all I prefer Chevy builds to any other SUV/Truck build out there - they're just more stylish. The body of my trailblazer has held up exceptionally well and even after 12 years, it does not look outdated. The vehicle is super comfortable, super affordable and does not suck gas like you would expect it to. After 12 years (8 of which I have owned it myself) there have been no problems -minor or major. It has well outlived the loan which is the goal nowadays anyway. I feel that it will last another 2 years at least, at which point I'm just going to upgrade.
Story
I use the vehicle to drive my mother and sisters around to thrift shop because it's the largest vehicle in the family and we can fit more stuff in it.
Pros
It has had no problems at all except routine maintenance and allows me the extra space of a larger vehicle without being a minivan. It's also a super comfortable vehicle and doesn't take as much gas as you'd expect.
Cons
Really, the only negative thing I have to say is that a common problem with this vehicle is that if you run the AC/ heat on high, the fan burns out leaving you with no air flow. It only happened once to me in 8 years and was literally a $30 fix.

They provided specific information on a recall that helped us decided this car was for us. Because of that we were able to go forward in the sale. Another dealership had no info. On the same recall from 2002.
