A great car with versatility
The Chevy Equinox was the first vehicle that was not a van that we purchased. A lot of thought went into the change. We wanted a smaller vehicle that was easier to park and handle and that offered better gas mileage. On the other hand, did not want to give up the comfort of having plenty of room for carrying things, and people. This car met all of our criteria. It is stylish, a modern look we are proud to drive. It has all of the technical upgrades we need, CD player, on-star and blue tooth. The dashboard is attractive with good lighting and easy to read signals and information. Cruise control, phone, and music are located on the steering and easy to use without taking your eyes off the road. MOST IMPORTANT lots of leg room for front and back seat passengers. Also easy fold down rear seats which allow us to carry large items. The gas mileage is great, we have put over 110, 000 miles on this car since purchasing. The repairs and maintenance fall well within what would be expected on a car with that mileage, some brake work, oil changes, and new tires. Overall more than satisfied with this car. Only one issue has ever come up with this car, not enough room to have all grandchildren in this car at the same time.

Solid
Overall, my 2010 Chevrolet Equinox has performed well over the seven years of ownership. It has been very reliable and has not broken down over 100,000 miles. The thing that I like the most about the Equinox is the space and convenience it offers. The automated lift gate has helped me out when I have my hands full, and the rear-view camera has saved me from bumping fenders with close parallel parking jobs. The one downside has been the constant flood of recalls and service agreements. It is nice of Chevrolet to replace the parts, but you wish it would have been made right in the first place. I've already been a part of five service agreements/recalls.
