After trading in my older 2500HD for this one, I wasn't sure I liked it -- until I hauled my horse trailer for the first time! This truck is a beast! I can haul two horses (including my friend's half-draft) in my horse trailer and not even know that it is back there! Gone are the days of white-knuckling while towing at highway speeds; now I haul confidently, anywhere. When not towing, this truck is full of pep -- it feels much sportier and more nimble than my previous truck. About the only thing that I miss now is a good place to put my sunglasses.

Our vehicle has been a very dependable purchase so far. The truck is an 8 cylinder, but shifts down to 4 cylinders when all 8 are not needed, so that makes it more fuel efficient than older models of the same truck. At the time of purchase, we traded in an older Silverado and have come to love some of the added/upgraded features, including the transmission shifting (mentioned previously), sound controls on the steering wheel, and the powerful ventilation system. In addition, we appreciate the safety of having a Bluetooth system for driving and took advantage of the free On-Star support during our first six months of ownership. We plan to drive the Chevy for approximately ten years and have been extremely satisfied with our purchase so far. There are just a few features we would adjust if possible.
