Good car for the price
Overall I like the Tucson. There are a good many features like heated seats and mirrors. The seats are comfortable and are holding up very well. We put a lot of wear and tear on our Tucson and it's holding up well with almost 150,000 miles on it already. However, the air conditioning doesn't work and it's currently August, so that isn't fun. I tried to get this fixed several times with our warranty at the dealership and after several failed attempts the warranty finally expired and the issue was never resolved. I'm very disappointed in this. First of all that this part (the AC compressor) broke since our mechanic said it's not very common. Second, the garage at the dealership argued with me that it couldn't be broken. This leads me to believe they just charged the AC and didn't change the part. Knowing that the AC would eventually die again but it was cheaper for them. The Tucson drives very nice. We do a mix of highway driving and back country roads. Some roads aren't paved and you don't feel like you are being thrown all over, so good shocks. The Tucson is an SUV but I've never felt nervous around corners that it might tip over. The large windows create very few blind spots which is wonderful. There aren't any air vents for the back seat which makes it hard to regulate temperature for the entire vehicle. In the front I like that there are cup holders in the center and also on both doors. The roof rack has been put to great use for our kayaks and it's easy to get them on and off. However, the roof rack is a pain to clean snow/ice off of in the winter time.

Crappy
I bought this car because the style was similar to my dead Subaru Forester, but I couldn't afford another Forester. For several years, I had recurring problems with the car: it would start jerking and the engine would rev oddly while sitting in park. This would also make the check engine light come on. After going to a garage and having the O2 sensors replaced twice in a year (2 different garages), it would run ok for awhile and then problems would start again and the check engine light would be back on. I could continue driving it, but the check engine light means an automatic fail at inspections. Another couple of years of problems and I finally got a garage to look at it without doing "computer diagnostics". It turned out the ignition coil was burnt nearly through. They replaced it and said my problems were over. That was 4 years ago, the check engine light is on right now and has been for the past 3 years. I don't know what the problem is with that car, but it's cost me thousands of dollars in misdiagnosed problems at several garages and it is still running like crap. Also, the black plastic panels on the sides fell off a few years back. The AC only runs for about 15 minutes and then "freezes up" and starts blowing warm air.

Interesting Car
When I went to buy this vehicle I didn't have in mind for myself to get a SUV. Once I bought it though, I feel in love. It's a great car and pretty reliable. At first I had some issues because I wasn't used to the breaks or having such a newer car. It's reliable, safe, and does amazing on gas. It works wonderfully in the snow and rain. If I still had my sedan I would have been stuck multiple times, but with this SUV being so high up, I've had no issues at all.
