This dealership was not only professional but personable as well, they made the entire visit very comfortable. I was not, at the time, in the market for a vehicle myself, having recently purchased my '00 Buick Lesabre, but my mother bought a vehicle used from them and they were nothing short of amazing! The completed all paperwork and transfer on site, and even changed her license plates over for her! While we were waiting for the DMV to finish faxing back the final papers Mrs. Harrington was talking to us in her office and made us feel extremely comfortable. Meanwhile Mr. Harrington was taking care of all the technicalities!

Buffalo, NY Driving Tips
Learn how to drive in the snow! Not only will other motorists thank you for not creating a hazard on the road, you'll be able to get out and enjoy nearly deserted streets that are beautiful to see late at night or early in the morning when crews have only plowed them once or twice. It really is a transformation and while you can walk, I would suggest you do that too, you cover so much more ground in a car.
Buffalo, NY Buying Tips
Micro cars are a waste here. Parking is plentiful. Most houses, even in the city, have off-street parking. With the advent of hybrids and electrics you can get a slightly larger size car, be thankful you have the room to go places with more than just yourself in the car, make some friends, and go places. There is so much to discover here - downtown right on the water, Niagara Falls to the North of the city, and state parks inland. Better to be comfortable. Most dealers have plenty of used lease cars so don't waste your time buying new. Let someone else take the hit on depreciation. Care for the car, and you'll still get a good 10 years out of it...and it'll cost you much less than if you bought new.
Favorite driving memory
I think what is really wonderful about driving in and around the city of Buffalo is that it is really geared towards the motorist, despite it's size. You are able to drive right into the heart of downtown on a busy day, which I have done many times during all seasons. And while it may not be the easiest drive, it is MUCH easier than that task would be in a larger city like NYC or LA. I love the fact that you can have the best of both worlds in Buffalo, have a car and drive into downtown when it's convenient for you, or choose to take public transportation and be friendly to the planet!
Favorite road
Delaware Ave.. Near the Zoo, Park, and Art Gallery it is absolutely gorgeous regardless the time of year. You forget that you're in the city, and it makes you feel like you've stepped back in time to the turn of the 1900s when much of the area was being developed as a park and cohesive unit. It's kept that feel, and it's wonderful.

Buffalo, NY Driving Tips
One tip I would give to people driving around the city is to be very patient. In Buffalo people can get very aggressive and cut others off. Without patience, serious accidents and road rage can occur. Take time to look around and enjoy the local shops and pretty gardens outside stores. You have to keep an eye out for aggressive drivers because many people are extremely selfish and will not let you in their lane. Take time to enjoy the view of the city.
Buffalo, NY Buying Tips
Personally, I would suggest a small car. Having a compact car can help you maneuver the smaller streets easier. Some roads are very tight and having a small vehicle can help you avoid accidents. Large trucks take up a lot of space and cause many accidents because of their size. I prefer West Herr because they are easy to work with and will throw in special add-ons to the car if you can prove you want it. I wouldn't trust craigslist in the city because many people have been robbed that way.
Favorite driving memory
I love driving around the city late at night when I am coming home from work. One time in particular I was driving through the city on July 4th around 10pm and people were shooting off fireworks in the center of the street. People who were shooting off fireworks were very polite and moved all their supplies from the street as I drove through. It was very nice to watch the pretty lights of the fireworks illuminate my car and the sky.
Favorite road
Elmwood Avenue.. Elmwood Ave is my favorite road to drive because it is very pretty. It has little shops and coffee spots filled with gorgeous gardening. I like to drive it and see which locally owned stores are popular and which are not. It is mainly all locally owned businesses and I enjoy seeing the city flourish with local owners and not corporate businesses.
