2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Love it!
I bought this car because I wanted to go off roading, and this is the car made for that. Even with all stock options, the Jeep Wrangler is ready to hit the mud. The 4 wheel drive works great in difficult conditions and keeps me safe. Driving a Wrangler is like being part of a community, where everyone is friendly and helpful to each other, and I feel like I got more than I bargained for. I love the 4 door option I went with, because I can't fit my friends in the back, and it makes it easy for things like grocery shopping as well.

I live in the country so there are many roads to explore. I was feeling adventurous one day and passed an old logging trail up a mountain. I turned around, but it in 4 wheel drive, and went up the mountain no problem!

This Jeep can do what it was made for! Works very well in 4 wheel drive. Sound system sounds great as well, even when you have the top down. The Freedom Panels come out quickly and fit right in the trunk for impromptu sun on a nice day. It extremely reliable. There are a ton of different things you can do to personalize it to make it your own, like removing the top, doors, etc., Or getting addons for better wheeling, but even on it's own, it's ready to go!

I got the hard top when I bought it because I liked the look of it better, and was worried about the cold in the winter, but it is very heavy, making it difficult to take off with less than 3 people on nice days. Now that I have some experience with it, I am considering purchasing an after market "soft" top that is durable for the weather but easy to remove. Also, the gas mileage is low, around 15-17 miles per gallon, but no one buys a Jeep for the gas mileage anyway, so I knew what I was getting myself into.

2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited -
I love my Jeep, it's sporty enough while still being a smooth ride. The handling is great and it's easy to drive. The style of the Jeep Wrangler is hard to beat. It's also very spacious (four door). However, soon after I got it, the brakes were squeaky. It's not great on gas mileage either unless you are on the highway and then it's mediocre.

I went to a "local" Dave and Busters (about 25 minutes away) one night with my boyfriend and when we came back out, there was a blizzard going on! We had to drive all the way home in terrible conditions on the highway with everyone going about 10 mph. We made it home safely thanks to my Jeep and its 4WD!!

I love the look and feel of my Jeep. I have a soft top so in the summer I can ride with the top down. It's easy to park and maneuver. The tires are built to withstand a lot of wear and tear and I haven't had a problem yet with any of them (37,000 miles so far).

The brakes are squeaky at very random times and they always have been. As soon as I hit around 25,000-30,000 miles, I started to have some issues (busted cylinder head, check engine light kept coming on). Servicing is not cheap, especially at 30,000 miles. There have also been at least three recalls. But when you go and say you have a recall part on your car, they always tell you they have to order the part and it'll be a few weeks which makes fixing the problem a lot harder than it seems.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Fun and efficient vehicle.
I love that this vehicle can handle a wide variety of terrain, and almost never gets stuck anywhere. I can take it off road for fun, and I can use it to commute back and forth to places that I need to go. It accelerates at the perfect speed, not so much that you spin out or lose control, has the perfect amount of torque. The fuel efficiency isn't great but when you factor in the other benefits it somewhat makes it worth it. I wouldn't recommend this vehicle for long trips on a regular basis, get something a bit more economical but it's fine for semi short distances over a period of time, the gas mileage won't be terrible. It can over steep hills and rocky terrain with no problem and if need be you can switch the all wheel drive on and it can take you right where you want to go, no road... (more)

I would refer to this vehicle as both a fun and conventional car. It has plenty of room in the backseat and in the very back for groceries or other supplies you may need. It sits somewhat high and makes you feel quite a bit safer than other vehicles. When we first purchased the vehicle he punched the door as hard as he could to show us how tough it was, no dents or anything. We also had a curb in our way when we went to test drive it and he was like, you're in a Jeep!! Just go over it. We went right over the curb with ease. It's a lot of fun to drive, has a lot of get up and go, can over lots of terrain, but misses the mark with gas mileage, it's around 13 mpg. You will also need to purchase a wench if you plan on taking it off road to be on the safe side. Even though it's a bit harder to get stuck in a vehicle like this one, it does happen, and once it does there is almost no way to get it out without a tow truck, and that can be very expensive if you are far out in the middle of nowhere.
I went off road and got stuck, that wasn't the fun part, we went so far out that we didn't even know where we were. Getting there was so much fun though, it went up and down so many hills and valleys, unexplored territory is the best

Can go over lots of terrain, has good get up and go, lots of room in for passengers and other supplies, a lot of fun to drive.

Poor gas mileage, need to purchase a wench for off-road adventures.
