The 2005 Kia Optima is a great car for those on a budget. The car offers great ride, and dependability. For a person on a budget this car is ideal. It gives great gas mileage, and offers acceptable comfort. It seats 4 adults easily and is perfect for a family car. The tire quality is acceptable. The styling is also acceptable. I have driven this car over 70,000 miles with few problems. Upkeep and maintenance is reasonable as well.

I had seen several Kia Optima's on the road in 2016 and every time a black one passed me, I asked "what kind of car is that?" Finally, I decided I better go take a look if literally every time one passed I turned my head. I was not disappointed. I was coming from a 2013 F150 Supercrew V8 (15 MPG on a good day) and was worried that I would feel like I was driving a grocery getter that clogged up the highway trying to get on. I was wrong. I found that it has all I need under the hood. If I really need to punch it, the shift mode lets me get whatever I need. I got the basic model and it comes with more standard options than any other vehicle I looked at. The comfort and ease of driving this car is surprising honestly. And for under $20k, I don't see how anything else can possibly compare for bang for the buck. If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy another Optima without question. And this isn't even touching on the warranty and gas mileage options. Impossible to beat for the value. I have been driving this car 3 years now and haven't had it in the shop once. Not once. And to top it all off, it's worth more than I owe on it still.
