2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid - Great Car
I think it was a good purchase, it has no rust on it, and the pinstripe was even thrown in for free. The acceleration could be a lot better, as it only has a four cylinder engine. However, the gas mileage is very good and I'm typically getting above 35 miles per gallon. The car has 140,000 miles on it, and it has never had any significant mechanical or engine problems. I would definitely recommend this car to a friend. I am fairly tall, and it offers plenty of leg room up front. And it is very easy to clean; even the sunroof does not get very dirty. However, the trunk is very small due to the battery, but I can still fit a trunk mounted bike rack in the trunk and am able to fully close it with no problems at all. The build quality could be slightly better, as many parts are simply made... (more)
Historia
I have not had any memorable stories.
A Favor
The car is well designed, it has no operational, mechanical, or major electronic problems, and it gets great gas mileage.
En Contra
The acceleration is lacking, it is only a four cylinder car. Due to being a hybrid car the battery takes up most of the trunk, so the trunk space is very limited.
2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid - Great MPG in mid-sized car.
I have only bought Toyota vehicles in the past as, for me, they are quite reliable. Outside of routine maintenance, I have only had one or two minor issues with the vehicle, however they have not been costly or a major inconvenience. Car still runs excellent at 120k miles. I have had the vehicle for about 40k of the miles on it.
Historia
Driving from Des Moines, Iowa to Northern Minnesota and only using half a tank of gas.
A Favor
Being that the vehicle is a hybrid, the MPG is the most positive factor for the vehicle. At the best, I get around 40 MPG, and, at the lowest (in the winter), it is around 36 MPG. In addition, being that I live in northern Minnesota, the vehicles traction control has prevented me from being in accidents in snowy and icy weather.
En Contra
Unfortunately, because of the car's year, it doesn't have all the newest technology. On the standard equipment stereo system, you have to use an aux cord, as there is no Bluetooth connectivity asides from phone calls. Also, whether it is my car or what happens over time, occasionally it is hard for some people to hear me clearly using the Bluetooth when I'm talking.
