This is the first Volkswagen and Jetta that I have owned and it will not be the last, that is for sure. Firstly, the interior. The interior is well designed and very functional. Your vision is never impaired when driving which is very important, especially to me. The seats are firm yet very comfortable on longer drives. The seats recline and give great lumbar support for back sufferers. The seat grabs you. When you have to turn the corner the seat will hold you firm and there is no side to side movement. This is a feature that I find very important for safe operation. The power train is responsive and will carry enough rpm's to move the car off the line with speed. Shifting is clean and fast, no gear grinding with my Jetta. The overdrive is a great feature that really stretches the gas per mileage ratio. I enjoy the audio system that is a factory install. It is high quality sound and the interface is easy to use. I live in a very hot climate and the air conditioner never let me down on hot days. It always blows cool and hard. The maintenance is easy, cheap and infrequent. I could do most of it myself to save money. It is thoughtful German engineering that allows the owner to save a few bucks by keeping it out of the shop. If you want a great car, buy a Jetta by Volkswagen, you will not be disappointed.

I wanted a vehicle that was small enough to move between tight parking spots in a big city but large enough to be safe on the highways. I think that my Jetta was a good price point between being affordable and luxurious, as it has a lot of the features I was looking for on a VW car without the expense of a Golf or Passat. I had tried a few vehicles from other makers at the car dealership, but I wasn't happy with the lack of response from the Acuras and Toyotas I test drove. As soon as I tried my car out, I was in love with how responsive the controls were and how easy it was to move around the lot.
