2010 Ford F-150 - Built like a sound reliable ship
The 2010 Ford 150 XLT is a dream and a comfort to own. It is very spacious depending on what size cab (mine is crew) and it's been extremely reliable. The engine puts out loads of power and has towed whatever I put on the hitch. The interior is very conferrable, but a little boring depending on the trim, but space is massive can easily fit five to six large adults. Stereo system was very disappointing radio just refused to turn on one day and before that sound quality was poor. Truck runs great even after 144,000 miles still smooth, but it all depends how you take care of yours. Shocks were disappointing every stop and take off brings with it the weird sensation that you are on a boat, hence the ship reference. The bed is just a bed, but it has served its purpose if I had to be mad at ... (more)
Story
I was driving with kids one day and I saw a large hill, so I decided to climb it, completely random, but awesome. Point is you got a truck to do truck stuff, right?
Pros
Comfortable interior. Strong and stylish look. Very dependable and strong engine. Fuel mileage is excellent.
Cons
Feels like it rocks back and forth when stopping. Stereo quality is very poor. While comfortable, the interior is ugly.
1997 Ford F-150 - Bare minimum.
My F150 was bought from a family friend at a really good price for a truck. My family needed a truck so I decided to buy one. Now obviously trucks aren't know for their gas mileage but this truck only gets around 8-10MPG if you drive efficiently with the AC/heater off. The cabin space inside the truck is huge. There's lots of space where you can fit 3 people up front and 3 people in the back. As far as being a truck the 1997 Ford F150 meets expectations. It's can easily carry a one-piece pre-made picnic bench or 2 large dressers in the back. If you're moving it carries a bunch of boxes full of stuff. My family was able to fit around 15 good sized boxes in the back as well as 2 lamps and a small desk. For the long term I wouldn't expect much. The interior leather seats are completely tr... (more)
Story
Family and I went to the forest to find and chop down a Christmas Tree. The truck was able to fit the Christmas tree in the cab.
Pros
Reliable. Lots of storage space (large cab).
Cons
Gas mileage sucks even for a truck. Seats are easily destroyed. Stuff goes wrong that isn't driving related (alarm, loud sounds).

2008 Ford Escape - Encinitas Ford
They gave me their lowest price without even making me go into the office. We stood in the lot and I was told exactly which car I could take home that day, and the exact price that I could expect to pay after all the hidden fees. Even better: when we found out that they didn't have the color I wanted, they gave me a higher end model in a different color for the original price.
