My 2016 Ford Focus is a good car, but I have been longing for a new one since I bought the car. It is a good car for first-time buyers, but now that I have experienced owning a car, I would rather invest in something a little nicer. The material on the seats is not very comfortable (a little scratchy), but there is a good amount of leg room. When accelerating out of a red light, the car shakes for a couple of seconds, which is a little scary sometimes. Nothing has come of it, and I've had the car looked at multiple times. The back seats come down to make extra room in the trunk, which is nice, but they do not lay flat, so it's difficult to maximize the space. The car is great, but I would have preferred the Focus ST!
Story
Shortly after buying the vehicle, I had to drive it across the country from Florida to Washington state. My sister flew down to take the drive with me, and we had a blast learning all the ins and outs of my new car.
Pros
The gas mileage is great. I average 30 MPG in the city! It is also very compact so it fits in tight spaces and is easy to maneuver around curves.
Cons
Sync is not very good. The car sometimes randomly kicks my phone off of Bluetooth, and it won't sync my contacts, so I can't use the voice command. The electronic parts of the car are not very impressive. The dash is so long, so it gathers dust very quickly and easily.

Overall I like the car, it has excellent gas mileage, handles quite well, and has enough room for what I use it for. The price I paid was good and the overall value is quite high. I opted for a two door version so I could control egress from the rear seat to better protect the children. There are a few things that I either do not like or that I feel could have been better designed. The body design is such that when glancing back from the driver's window to ascertain safe maneuvering distance, your vision is partially blocked by the upswing in the car's rear window threshold and the flare up of the body itself. It hampers visibility and is annoying. I also find it detrimental that the wipers do not have an adjustable delay function. Where I live there are often times when the wipers mus... (more)
Story
My youngest son used my car to visit a friend, They went out for a drink in a nearby town where someone with a large, high bodied truck managed to back into the front of my car. Now my car has a smile as it goes down the road. Since I'm more interested in performance than looks, it doesn't bother me much.
Pros
Gas mileage, steering ability, cornering and ease of driving are what led me to buy it.
Cons
Poor visibility when looking to the rear, wiper speed setting, and warm-up time are the only features I do not like.

Low price, and an honest explanation of why the vehicle was for sale on a "wrecker lot".

We walked in knowing what our budget was and what we were willing to pay for interest an we were not pressured like a lot of dealers have done.
