This is the third Honda Cr-V I've owned in the past fifteen years. Two were totaled in accidents, through no fault of my own, but I loved the experience of driving them so much, that I just keep getting them. As a larger man on a budget, the size is perfect for someone who finds compact uncomfortable, while providing great gas mileage and quality hardware, that is dependable, as long as you service it regularly. The spacier interior is also nice, both for no giving you a too crammed in feeling while your driving (especially on long road trips), as well as when you have to load a lot of things into the vehicle, say when your moving or helping friends move. Plus I occasionally help out a friend who builds sets for a theatre, and the Cr-V is perfect for quick trips to Home Depot to pick u... (more)
Story
In college, it was great for piling all my friends in and just driving around town, or around the beaches. You fit five or six people, and still be relatively comfortable. Plus, with the all-wheel drive, it can handle a lot of unexpected road conditions that might crop up while you're on an adventure!
Pros
The leg room is great. The All-Wheel drive is also really nice and handy for unexpected hills or steep streets when you find yourself in an unexpected area and you need a little boost. The fold down backseat is great for loading a lot of stuff, and I can usually fit any large items (furniture, building materials) I need in order to get through my busy and hectic life.
Cons
It is getting a bit old. It had about 90,000 miles on it when I bought it, and it's well over 250,000 now. So it needs more upkeep than when I first purchased it. But all that said, it still runs well, I just have to be a bit more diligent, which does add up in price and trips to the mechanic.

There are a couple of problems with this car, one major and one minor. There is also a BIG third problem, which is probably the biggest and the reason I will never buy Honda again. They do not stand behind their product even when they know there is a design flaw. The air conditioner in the car has never worked for more than a couple of weeks. I have replaced it three times, and each time it breaks within a few weeks, and when it breaks, it does so catastrophically so that everything needs replacing. The internet is full of people with the same problem. Apparently it is a design flaw. There is a class action suit, but I do not have my receipts. I would never trust Honda cars again because they do not stand behind their product. They should have recalled all the cars with the AC problem... (more)
Story
When I first got this car, I took it to the mountains in the snow. When we hit an icy spot, I could definitely feel the all-wheel drive kick in. It made it feel more safe to drive on slick roads.
Pros
The motor is dependable.
Cons
The air conditioning constantly breaks. The interior is cheap and rattle-y.

I am a slow shopper when it comes to big purchases. The salesman who helped me at this dealership was very patient, courteous and professional during the almost two month process. I looked at and test drove several cars before finding the one I wanted to apply to purchase, visiting the dealership several times during those 2 months. When I finally settled on a choice, I got approved but still didn't leave with a car, wanting instead to think over my options one more night. My salesman new he'd be off when I came back the next day and he would have to split the commission with whoever ended up helping me upon my return but he wasn't ugly about it at all and personally made arrangements for the person who'd function in his stead to meet me and finalize the sale.
