I was in a situation where I needed to buy a car on short notice and could only afford a used vehicle. At the time, I had no vehicle because my previous one had been stolen. I searched high and low on various websites and test drove quite a few, but I couldn't find one I liked. Eventually, I found one, a Honda Pilot that drove nicely, seemed to be in good shape, and was in my budget range. I purchased it, and the very next day drove it from the Los Angeles area to Las Vegas. It drove so nice, got good mileage, and felt solid and reliable. I had owned a couple of other Hondas in the past and knew they had good build quality. That was about two years ago, and my Pilot is still giving me excellent service. With gas prices here in California being among the most expensive in the country, i... (more)
Story
I'm teaching my niece to drive, and it's the first vehicle that she's ever driven. She loves it as much as I do.
Pros
Good build quality. Reliable. Smooth ride. Spacious. Good gas mileage. Nice looking.
Cons
Slightly on the heavy side. Slightly noisy on rough roads.

The Honda Pilot has been my daily driver for roughly four years and has driven without issue throughout. We've maintained regular maintenance, and with that, have not seen any major issues or factory faults. It has suited our needs as a family, remains quiet and consistent in performance.
Story
Living near the beach, we find ourselves going more often then not. The car is large enough that we could fit our family of six and still have room in the rear (and a folded rear seat) for items like folding canopies, chairs, and all of our beach going needs.
Pros
First, it comfortably seats up to eight people. Even adults can sit well in the third row, which is rare for vehicles of this size. It never feels under powered, even with a full load, and doesn't hesitate to go when I hit the gas. I get great life out of the tires, meaning the alignment is rarely off if at all, coupled with a suspension that feels comfortable to all riders. The rear seats fold down nicely revealing large cabin space for large loads.
Cons
The sound system (in my model) isn't particularly great. It sounds somewhat muddy in the front where most of the high range is produced, but the rear seats hear nothing but bass from the subwoofer even at low levels.

Neftin Westlake Mazda is a great dealership. They are very friendly, have solid prices, and have great commercials as well. They also let you test drive the car on your own, and Howie is a very responsive guy. The workers there really try to get you an affordable monthly payment, which helped my cousin out greatly when he bought his Mazda.

This dealership is clean and the staff is professional and courteous. They truly make an effort to be friendly and helpful, and we constantly bring our cars in to be serviced here as well. As far as deals on new vehicles go, my father has purchased several new vehicles from this dealership and has been extremely pleased with the results.
