My Honda Fit is a great car because it is small enough to be fuel efficient and easy to drive, but it is big enough to be roomy and hold a lot of stuff. It has so much headroom that I sit on a pillow in the drivers seat. Hondas in general are great cars because you can always rely on them. If you take good care of them, they never break down unexpectedly or need a lot of repair. I drive alone a lot and I need that reliability. The Fit is not a high powered car, but it gets the job done. It can make up and down mountainous terrain with no problem. It is sturdy enough to handle heavy terrain. It is the perfect car for a small family with one or two young children because it is very safe. The Fit was rated as one of the safest small cars on the market. Plus, it will hold a lot of gear. Pros
The Fit is safe, fuel efficient and roomy.
Cons
Maintenance and replacement parts tend to be pricey, but that is because everything is well made. It's worth to have a reliable vehicle.

2010 Honda Fit - It is practical and functional.

I bought this car used about six months ago from a Honda Dealer. I paid about 7,000 for it. I was looking for a Honda, Subaru or Toyota because, according to my research, these are the best used cars to buy in my price range. It is seven years old and had about 90,000 miles on it. It runs really well. The body is in good shape with just a few scratches and a couple tiny dings from hail damage (which I got a discount for). I wanted a hatchback with four doors, something I could load things into like a bicycle and a small furniture. The back seats go down quite easily to even allow for me to sleep in it...if for some reason on a camping trip I need to. My sleeping pad fits just right. The gas mileage is great. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I can drive to Albuquerque (170 mi... (more)
Story
Many people around here drive large SUVs or large pick-up trucks (I'm in the Southwest). I feel like a minority in my little Honda Fit.
Pros
It's roomy. I can put the seats down and put a lot of stuff back there. It does not look like it is seven years old. It runs like new and looks great. It is dependable. I have not had any mechanical issues with it.
Cons
I wish it had those luggage racks on top for something like a kayak. I do miss having a trunk to lock my purse in when I take a walk.
