Dependable, Economical, and No Frills
The price I paid for my Ford Focus (2005) was very reasonable for the quality of the car. I have had my Focus for almost 100,000 miles at this point and it has NEVER broken down on me. Not once. In the several years and many miles I have had it, it has not required any major work outside of normal maintenance (Such as brake jobs, new tires, oil changes, and a new battery). It is quite powerful in its acceleration, for a 4 cylinder engine. I live in a fairly mountainous area and it handles steep roads easily and accelerates strongly. I have driven it across country three times, as well as numerous shorter road trips, and what I love the best is that I feel completely safe taking it anywhere, whether it is 10 miles or 2000 miles away.

Gets the job done
I was looking for something affordable with good fuel economy while still being reliable enough to get me through college without much issue. I landed on this car. I come from a small town, and this was one of the things that fit the criteria I was looking for. I am not too picky with my car at this point in my life. I do get 30mpg roughly. I like that it has Sync to connect my phone. It handles fine. I don't really have any complaints. Has a fair amount of trunk room as well.

This is a dealership selling Hertz rental cars after they are taken out of the fleet. You know that the cars are in generally good condition, having been taken care of, the cars are relatively new (1-2 years old) and that the average mileage is around 30,000. The salesmen were actually great. The one I went on a test drive with was a guy who sang Queensryche songs at karaoke bars! They were patient, helpful, courteous, not pushy or overbearing, and the salesman gave me some vital information about the car I selected, which I wish I had paid more attention to. Good experience all around.

They have very knowledgeable people on staff to answer any questions, and while they're still in business to sell cars, they make the process easy. They also finance thru local credit unions, which makes that part smooth, and you feel confident you're getting a good deal on the financing as well
