I bought my Honda Fit used about 4 years ago, and it has about 100,000 miles on it now and has not given me any issues. The thing I look most at when vehicle shopping is gas mileage, and this car gets great gas mileage. It has taken me from Virginia to Florida, from Virginia to California, and from Virginia to New York with nothing ever needing to be fixed or replaced, aside from the usual wear and tear like an oil change and tire changes. The 2008 Honda Fit may have a small engine, but it gets going quickly once you step on the gas. It is also a hatchback and has an exceptional amount of room for how small the car is. I go on long road trips and always have plenty of room for my stuff, including a lot of camping gear. The Honda Fit is overall a very reliable vehicle that I would recom... (more)
Story
My favorite memory in my Honda Fit was driving Big Sur in California. Nothing compares to how beautiful that drive is. With the ocean on one side and the forest on the other, that drive is something everyone should experience.
Pros
This vehicle has a lot of space, even though it looks small from the outside. It also has very good gas mileage and holds up well through the many miles I have put on it traveling across the country. A great feature is the paddle shifters in the sport version that allow this small car to feel more fun. The interior has also held up well.
Cons
One of the cons to this vehicle may be space. Although it holds a lot, it doesn't hold as much as bigger cars might hold. Also, some may see a plastic exterior as a negative thing.

2016 Honda Fit - Honda Fit - a good economy vehicle

The 2016 Honda Fit is a great economy vehicle. The price is reasonable, it gets great gas mileage, and has a great interior size for the price. With four doors, a hatchback, and fold-down rear-seats, you can carry a lot of stuff. And with the seats upright, four can ride in the car comfortably, including my 6'3" son. Our previous Hondas have been very reliable, so we expect that this one will be, too. Its small size makes the Fit super-maneuverable in tight spots like parking garages.
Story
We bought this car for my husband to use for commuting, so he is the main driver. When I wanted to drive it recently, I asked him for the spare key, and he said he'd already given it to me. I didn't have it, and for a bit, we fumed that the dealer must have given us just one, since it was such an inexpensive vehicle. Later, we found it in a pile of papers! Never mind, Honda!
Pros
Even this economy vehicle has a back-up camera, making backing up much safer, especially when there are lots of pedestrians or vehicles such as in a parking lot. The front passenger seat is comfortable, and four people can be comfortable in the car. The Fit has awesome visibility through the front windshield.
Cons
The ride is a bit noisy and hard, but since this is really a vehicle for short commutes, it's not an issue. The manual adjustments for the driver's seat are inconvenient -- it is impossible to adjust on the fly. The size of the driver's seat is not that great for a tall driver.
