Reliable, small, economical
I like my car because I was looking for a small commuter car that would be easy to park, not use too much gas, would be reliable and within my price range, and the Yaris has been all of that. It is a small car and I am a small woman so I could understand that someone who is tall might be very uncomfortable in it, but it works perfectly for me. My particular Yaris doesn't have all the bells and whistles that newer cars have such as GPS, Keyless entry etc, but since I need it only to go back and forth to work, I feel I don't need to pay extra for those things. I have never had to take my car to the mechanic outside of regular maintenance which is important to me. It is not a car with a lot of power so if that is important, it wouldn't be a good choice. It doesn't have power windows which I find annoying at times but not enough to make me want to change cars. It gets excellent gas mileage which is great for me because I have a fairly long commute. Overall it is an excellent in town, commuter car.

Uncomfortable
I originally purchased my Yaris because my family all have Toyotas and said that they were great vehicles. I liked the idea of the Yaris because it seemed like a mix between a RAV 4 and a typical car. It had the hatchback and was supposed to have great mileage. I liked the idea of having a hatchback for ease of use verses a trunk, as it's sometimes hard to reach back into a trunk to reach items, groceries in particular. I liked that the Yaris was a bit smaller and had a good turn radius. I had already decided on purchasing this car before going in to the dealership, which I see now was a mistake. I would have been much happier with a more typical car. I have now had my Yaris for going on two years and I wish I could trade it in for something different. As soon as I'm financially able I may do so. It is already having problems as far as brakes, and it is a very uncomfortable experience to drive. The gas mileage is also not what was promised. I drive at least 2 hours every day, and it is terribly uncomfortable for commuting. The seats are not comfortable, it is hard to reach the dash (radio) and it is very hard to reach the drink holders as well. The visibility of the car (front windshield) is not great. I even purchased a special coating to help cut down on the damage to the windshield and it is already starting to erode. It may just be that the car was a poor fit for me, but I have been extremely unhappy with this vehicle. I dread having to drive in it because it’s just incredibly uncomfortable overall.
