2009 Honda Odyssey - Amazing family vehicle
I am impressed with how smoothly it drives, but there is some road noise. I have had some issues with the windshield wipers not working well even though they are brand new. It's on a car base instead of a truck base, so it's easy to park and maneuver in tight places. The back cargo area is spacious, and we've packed for a two-week camping trip for five people easily. I wanted this model because of the storage space under the floorboard in the second row. It's good sized and easily stores umbrellas, parkas, and other things you don't need all the time.
Story
We have taken this vehicle on many camping trips. We drove from a major city in Texas to Colorado then to Wyoming and back. It took us two weeks, and we were able to pack everything we needed in the back with the third row down. It handled well in the West Texas plains as well as the mountains of Colorado and Yellowstone.
Pros
I absolutely love the automatic doors and back cargo door. The low frame makes it ideal for a family with young children. They can climb in and out themselves. The second row with the optional middle seat is perfect for three car seats across. But you can remove it and it makes a walkway to the third row. The DVD player is very nice, but I wish the remote worked from the passenger front seat. It would be nice if the headphones came in a smaller size as well. They are too large for children. The back-up camera and sensors are helpful, and I use them often.
Cons
The second row seats have to be pushed back pretty far to install backward facing car seats. That means the third-row people don't have much leg room. I've also had some issues with the air conditioning not blowing cold air until you turn it very low, in the low 60s, even when its over 100 outside.
2010 Honda Odyssey - Had most of my must haves.
I love my Honda Odyssey! The seats are comfortable, and the adjustable seat belts help to keep from feeling like I'm choking. The rear seats fold flat to provide a large hauling space. Unfortunately, the middle seats don't fold flat, but I've found that for most things I don't need them to. The middle seats can be removed completely if needed. The road noise can get loud at times. The stereo is good but, with my model, didn't include Bluetooth. Gas mileage is ok. The engine runs quiet, and oil changes don't break the bank. The power sliding doors were a big selling point for me as well as the power windows in the sliding doors. The conversation mirror was something I didn't know I needed, but I use daily to check on the kids in the back seats. When I purchased my Honda Odyssey, it was ... (more)
Story
We drove from Texas to Florida to visit Disney World. With the rear seats folded flat, we could sleep on the way without needing a hotel room. When we met up with friends at Disney World, the van was big enough to hold everyone, infant/booster seats and all, comfortably.
Pros
Fold-flat rear seats, power sliding doors, power rear windows, and it is comfortable on long trips.
Cons
No Bluetooth, middle seats don't fold flat, and road noise can be loud.

2011 Honda Odyssey - John Eagle Honda Houston
Well, initially I leased a Honda Odyssey from John Eagle Honda, and getting approved for the lease and the paperwork was very timely. The salesmen were very courteous and answered all my questions, and took the time to explain not only financing options, but all the options of the vehicle. When it came out to return the vehicle, they again offered options to lease a new Honda Odyssey, but when I stressed interest in purchasing the vehicle from out of my lease, they didn't press, and escalated me to a great guy, George, to help with the purchase options.
2014 Honda Odyssey - Honda Of Spring Houston
We gave them our specifications and budget to them in the morning and they had the car ready with our specification by the afternoon within our budget. There was minimum haggling involved and the whole purchase process was very smooth.
