We bought our Honda Odyssey in 2000, and it now has 186,000 miles on it and is still going strong. We have had to replace the normal things that wear out on a vehicle along the way, but nothing really major. It has seats that pull our or go down, so you can seat eight people or have the back seats down and have a huge trunk space, and if you need more room, the second row of seats fold down as well. We have never had anything that didn't fit in there. It has such a smooth ride, and while we have been hit a few times by other vehicles, we have never been hurt. The windows are electric and go up and down still beautifully, and there are two air vents in the very back that help stream the air all the way throughout the van. There is a nice tint on the windows and windshield, so the sun is... (more)
Story
We wanted to go on vacation one summer a few years back but didn't have a lot of money. So we packed an air mattress and things for camping, but instead of having to buy a tent, we just put the air mattress in the back of the van, left the back hatch open with light netting to keep out the mosquitoes and put all our belongings in the from two rows of seats and had a wonderful night's sleep. We... (more)
Pros
The best aspects of the van are the size and how many people it can seat at one time comfortably and how many large items it can transport by putting the back seats down. It is a dream to help people move, move yourself or go on a vacation as well as going about town picking up your kids and groceries. The seats are really soft and comfortable. They are a fuzzy soft cloth, so they never stick to you and don't burn you or freeze you when you sit down. The cruise control works smoothly, and the seats and steering wheel adjust with ease for the comfort of the driver and passengers.
Cons
With a lot of cars getting smaller, the parking spaces are also getting smaller. So it is not as easy to park it, as it is a smaller vehicle. It does not get as good as gas mileage as a smaller vehicle would, especially when it is loaded up. It is also difficult to change out the front headlights because you have to go way into the front of the engine area.

I love my Honda Odyssey! The seats are comfortable, and the adjustable seat belts help to keep from feeling like I'm choking. The rear seats fold flat to provide a large hauling space. Unfortunately, the middle seats don't fold flat, but I've found that for most things I don't need them to. The middle seats can be removed completely if needed. The road noise can get loud at times. The stereo is good but, with my model, didn't include Bluetooth. Gas mileage is ok. The engine runs quiet, and oil changes don't break the bank. The power sliding doors were a big selling point for me as well as the power windows in the sliding doors. The conversation mirror was something I didn't know I needed, but I use daily to check on the kids in the back seats. When I purchased my Honda Odyssey, it was ... (more)
Story
We drove from Texas to Florida to visit Disney World. With the rear seats folded flat, we could sleep on the way without needing a hotel room. When we met up with friends at Disney World, the van was big enough to hold everyone, infant/booster seats and all, comfortably.
Pros
Fold-flat rear seats, power sliding doors, power rear windows, and it is comfortable on long trips.
Cons
No Bluetooth, middle seats don't fold flat, and road noise can be loud.

Well, initially I leased a Honda Odyssey from John Eagle Honda, and getting approved for the lease and the paperwork was very timely. The salesmen were very courteous and answered all my questions, and took the time to explain not only financing options, but all the options of the vehicle. When it came out to return the vehicle, they again offered options to lease a new Honda Odyssey, but when I stressed interest in purchasing the vehicle from out of my lease, they didn't press, and escalated me to a great guy, George, to help with the purchase options.

We gave them our specifications and budget to them in the morning and they had the car ready with our specification by the afternoon within our budget. There was minimum haggling involved and the whole purchase process was very smooth.
