The Honda Odyssey is a great car if you to carry around a bunch of kids or carry around a bunch of stuff in general. I bought this car used for around $15000 in 2007, and it is probably the best van I have driven in. There are a lot of good things about this car, but also more than a few bad things. Overall, this car is pretty good if you need to transport a lot of things and people, but keep in mind future maintenance costs because those will get you!
Story
My son once hid in the car for almost 3 hours! We didn't know where he was and we were panicking! When we found him we were so relieved but he was giggling that he won hide and seek.
Pros
It handles well, turns nicely, and has a great transmission. I also like how much room there is, there are enough seats to transport seven people, and if you need to carry larger cargo, you can remove seats easily or 'bring down' the three back seats. There is plenty of room in this car.
Cons
The window motor dies easily and is super expensive to replace. There have been multiple recalls by Honda (around 2) on this model car which has left me without my van for more than a few weeks. After around 7 years of using the car, the transmission began dying out, and after getting it fixed, I had to get it fixed again after another 1 1/2 years.

Odyssey is a good choice for families with many members. With eight seats that comfortably seats five people, it is sold at a price between $30k to $40k. This is around 30% lower than a large SUV with comparable interior space. Odyssey's seats (except for the front row) can be completely taken out or folded to give a large interior cargo space. The vehicle has sufficient power (V6) and reasonable fuel efficiency. A minivan is a minivan. It does not have the same level of maneuverability as a sedan or an SUV. You cannot drive too fast, not because the engine is weak but because you cannot brake in time to stop the vehicle. This means that you must adopt a humble attitude on the road.
Story
After taking out all seats, I use the vehicle as a light truck for moving or shipping large cargos.
Pros
Large interior space (eight passenger seats). Affordable prices (except for top trim, you should be able to buy one under $40k). Reliable quality. Blind-spot camera. Powerful A/C and separate temperature controls.
Cons
Maneuverability: all minivans are more difficult to drive than sedans and SUVs. Safety in rear-ending: the third passenger row is particularly vulnerable. If possible, avoid seating in the third row especially for children. The side sliding doors: convenient for everyday use. In a major accident, the door may not open making passengers in rear rows harder to escape.

The dealership is staffed by incredibly helpful people. After graduating college and landing a well-paying job, I decided it was time to get a new car, as I had been driving a 2003 Accord until then and it was due to die. You know, because of college stuff. Anyway, I was wondering where to go and then my parents said Honda of Pasadena. I remember getting our Accord then which was passed down to me, I remember us getting other cars from there over the years. That was until us children grew older and my parents decided it was then safe to buy expensive luxury cars. You know, kids will be kids and destroy everything. . . Anyway, the staff made me feel welcome and were very considerate to help me. They didn't care about getting their commission, they just wanted to help a guy out.

My first time leasing a car was at First Honda of Simi. The sales man was terrific and helped me through the process. They provided outstanding vehicle service and are very reasonably priced. Because of this continual outstanding service, last month I turned in my lease and purchased a car from them. If you are looking for a good deal and great service this is the place to go.
