2005 Honda Pilot - Best family vehicle I've ever owned!

After owning several SUV's and trying to find the best overall fit for our family of five (with three children under the age of three), it wasn't easy to find one that could accommodate three car seats, a stroller, and other items needed for a regular outing without having to unsafely place these items in with our precious cargo. We owned a Suburban. It was too large and was poor on gas making it difficult financially to plan any longer trips. We thought about an Expedition, but it was too hard to access the back seat and left no room for a stroller in the back, let alone groceries or other items we'd need. The Dodge Journey is absolutely a joke when trying to use the third row seating and when the third row was used, it left maybe 10-13" of "trunk space" so definitely not stroller fri... (more)
Story
Taking the Pilot on our last road trip to Yellowstone and having plenty of space to all be comfortable the entire 1,500+ mile trip each way!
Pros
Good gas mileage for its size, lots of space, and family friendly.

The 2005 Honda Pilot is a great car I've put over 200,000 miles on it and it still runs great! So in my opinion reliability is its greatest feat however it also has a great style. I love the way the older model pilots look, not too flashy but definitely not ugly. The car is also very practical. I'm an avid skier and runner and the car functions great for lugging around all of my gear. I took the car to the Hood to Coast relay race in Oregon last summer. Teams in the race are required to have vehicles to transport their runners and most teams have vans but the Pilot was so versatile that it worked just as well! The car is also very comfortable and I love the seat warmers.
Story
I took the car to the Hood to Coast relay race with a bunch of my friends, it was a really exciting adventure!
Pros
The most positive things about the Honda Pilot 2005 would definitely be the reliability and versatility of the car. Like I said I've logged over 200,000 miles mine and it still runs great I'm extremely impressed with the quality even to this day.
Cons
After 200,000 miles I have begun to experience some interior rattling but that was to be expected. The gas mileage is also poor but is reasonable for a car of its size.
