I chose to get a Pilot, since I needed a larger vehicle. It seats eight total, including a third row that easily folds down as needed. The vehicle is spacious and comfy and does not feel cramped even when filled to capacity. It passed crash tests with flying colors, which is important since I'm always driving people around. The ride is smooth, and Hondas last forever.
Story
Whenever we pull into our super long driveway (we live in the country), I'll let one of the kids sit on my lap and "drive" the rest of the way home.
Pros
My favorite things about this vehicle are the amount of people I can comfortably fit, the smooth ride, and how safe it feels. It helps to be slightly higher off of the ground and ride around in a car that has ranked so high on all safety features. I didn't have a large budget to work with and did not want a minivan but needed extra space. This was the best option I could have chosen.
Cons
The top negative thing about my car is the gas consumption. I only get around 16 miles to the gallon, which is less than half of what I got with my previous car. It's also not the most amazing looking car I've ever owned but still much better than a minivan. Mine is silver and was not my top choice of color, but I needed a new car quickly, so I settled for a color that isn't especially appealing.

The 2006 Pilot is another great car from Honda, balancing size, performance, utility and reliability for families.
Story
Our family have used this for many fun excursions, transporting members of The Blue Devils Drum Corps to events, taking the dog to the park, and driving around with friends and family.
Pros
The car features seating for up to 7 people, plus good cargo space. It performs well, accelerates quickly, and has a nice ride, especially for an SUV. It still has a modern, stylish look to it. It always starts right up. The grille and headlights look aggressive in a good way. The headlights project a very bright and encompassing light. The visibility is good in most circumstances, due to lots of large windows. There are multiple air bags for protection, including side-impact air bags. It features some nice modern amenities, such as CD player, rear air-conditioning, anti-lock brakes, and h... (more)
Cons
The gas mileage is only fair, and is sometimes poor if the vehicle is driven too hard. Rarely, the vehicle will shift hard, or downshift suddenly, when not expected. The brakes feel as if they could be a touch more firm. I had a turn signal stalk break off fairly easily. The paint at the door handle seems to be easily scratched from fingernails or other light contact. The upholstery seems to stain easily. The shift lever is sometimes awkward to engage.

The dealership is staffed by incredibly helpful people. After graduating college and landing a well-paying job, I decided it was time to get a new car, as I had been driving a 2003 Accord until then and it was due to die. You know, because of college stuff. Anyway, I was wondering where to go and then my parents said Honda of Pasadena. I remember getting our Accord then which was passed down to me, I remember us getting other cars from there over the years. That was until us children grew older and my parents decided it was then safe to buy expensive luxury cars. You know, kids will be kids and destroy everything. . . Anyway, the staff made me feel welcome and were very considerate to help me. They didn't care about getting their commission, they just wanted to help a guy out.

The salesman that we purchased from was the same guy we had used for a previous transaction. I believe we purchased my parent's car from the same salesperson. He was incredibly gracious and put the customer first. He was an old retired CHP officer, so he had some personable stories. He didn't pressure us at all and when we bought from him, he gave us a small sticker that we put on our license that he said would help get us out of tickets if we were ever pulled over by the CHP.
