I like that the car's steering is really well done, and the fact that you can take a corner at faster speeds safely is a good safety feature. The trim inside is really nicely done, and love the red ascents. The performance is really well done for a 4 cylinder engine, and the overall sporty look of the vehicle is excellent.
Story
Driving Highway 1 from San Diego all the way home and still being confortable for the 12 hours in the car
Pros
This car has great steering, and good gas mileage. The acceleration in the auto manual mode is fantastic, and the way you can zip in and out of traffic makes it fun to drive. The rideablity and comfort inside of the vehicle is outstanding. Driving over bumps and bad roads is still comfortable, and you can drive the car for long periods of time without getting uncomfortable.
Cons
The gas mileage could be better if they added another gear to the transmission allowing the rpms to be lower at the higher speeds. The driving noise is a little loud, therefore they could add more insulation under the vehicle to help with the noise.

The Mazda 6 has a smooth sporty essence but it also says 4 door sedan that aunt Peg isn't going to be afraid to get into. Both from the front and back the look is appealing. You can easily fit five adults comfortably, or fold down the arm rest / cupholder in the back for four. The rear seat has car-seat tie downs that are easily accessible and the seat itself folds down if you need to load a large object into the trunk. I've had it since '05 and have had surprisingly little repairs other than scheduled maintenance. The cars a blast to drive, I have the manual transmission - If you want to give that Mustang next to you on the ramp a surprise this car fits the bill, Tight as a drum on cornering and a stiff suspension will have your passengers grabbing for the handle and looking at you li... Story
I drove over 5000 miles across the country in this car and loved every minute of it. The only thing I regret is taking a whole day to visit the worlds largest ball of Twine in Cawker City Kansas. I recommend any other site on the planet.
Pros
Great acceleration - don't be shy about 6k rpms if you need a quick rocket boost. Tight cornering and good handling. The engine is clean and well sealed. Nice touch with cruise control and radio functions built into the steering wheel. Seats are comfortable and will do nicely for long hauls.
Cons
This car is light and not spectacular in snow, No matter what tires you put on you'd better have a couple bags of kitty litter in the trunk. The front map light buttons are prone to fail even if you don't use them often. What happens is they tend to short and turn the lights on when owner is asleep thereby draining the battery. I just took the lights out as I never used this feature anyway. One thing that initially bugged me is the sun roof automatically closes when you turn off the engine - which is a good safety - but I later learned there is a button combo that keeps it open.

The guys were friendly and did not seem at all bothered to show us as many cars as we wanted to see. I hate the feeling of being pressured and guilted into buying something. There was no pressure at all the first day. I actually came back on the second day to buy my car. The deal I got also seemed fair and reasonable.

I believe that the salesman we worked with was very knowledgeable, and wanted to take care of us. He understood our personal space, and even though he was older, he offered a younger co worker to work with us if we would feel more comfortable.
