2003 Honda Accord - Reliable vehicle with stamina
I purchased a Honda Accord for its history being a reliable family car. My car is currently over 15 years old. Aside from the need to manually unlock and lock one of the doors, everything works well and without defect. The vehicle performs well with basic routine maintenance and care. I live in the city so there are minor cosmetic blemishes, but I would have expected greater wear and tear given it's outdoor living conditions and weather.
Story
I've driven this car over mountain passes during snow storms while passing four-wheel drive vehicles.
Pros
To date, my Honda accord has over 180 thousand miles and is still working well. This longevity has decreased the cost of owning a car as I haven't had to replace it. For about ten years, I lived in areas frequented with snow, ice and below freezing temperatures. It is a two wheel drive vehicle, but handles really well without chains or snow tires.
Cons
As soon as the car's warranty expired, the throttle valve on the car broke which resulted constant acceleration of the car. This is the only part on the car, aside from one of the automatic door locks, that has failed. The severity and unpredictable nature of this failure warrants me mentioning this as a con for this car. The service department told me that this part is never inspected unless it fails so there's nothing they can do about it.
2002 Honda Accord - Good starter vehicle.
I purchased this car from a friend who was moving out of state as a temporary solution. It is in pretty good shape and gets pretty decent gas mileage, but my friend had put a number of miles on the car, so I don't intend to keep it for more than a couple years. This car was a good deal, and I decided to buy a cheap car cash while I save up for something better and try to improve my credit score. My little Honda has been super reliable, has had minimal maintenance costs, and gets pretty good gas mileage. I'd recommend this car to anybody in a similar situation as me.
Story
I have been able to park this car in the smallest parking spots in the city, which always makes me smile. Definitely worth it!
Pros
Good gas mileage, doesn't cost much to maintain, and I can do most of the maintenance myself.
Cons
It's not the fanciest car in the world, and it has pretty high mileage.

The people at San Francisco Honda were tremendously helpful and never pushed me to buy a car.
