The Honda pilot is a nice ride. It has 8 seats, more than any other car! The Pilot is the winner for power and torque, and it remains one of the smoothest and most pleasant powercars in this arena. The five-speed automatic transmission in the Pilot feels a slightly indecisive under lighter loads, but it smooths out and shifts quickly when you need to move rapidly. The Pilot does have quite a bit more durability built in than the typical car. It lets me get out on the trailhead and take the less-traveled road, as well as the long car ride to ski resorts. I can fit tons of stuff into the pilot. In the end, the Honda pilot makes me feel like a superhero. The handling was great, the 4WD helped me under the most icy and tenuous conditions, and the luxurious interior made me feel like a cele... (more)
Story
We once were bringing some of my children's friends home and there were so many we couldn't even fit them all in the 8 seats. Chuckling, we got a friend to help us take them to our house.
Pros
Great handling Nice interior Room for people Room for stuff Nice color Nice power and torque
Cons
Can easily get dirty Sometimes too large for urban environments

I bought this car after my second child was born. I needed extra space for two car seats and cargo space for gear. In addition to the kids, we also travel with grandparents so needed to be able to take them places with us. The Pilot was everything we needed with the third-row seating. It allowed room to comfortably be able to take the kids in and out of the car. It drove smooth and has an economy fuel setting to save gas. We drove this car everywhere from work commute to long-distance traveling.
Story
We had the opportunity to take nieces and nephews with us to a weekend away at a theme park. We packed everyone in the SUV and still have enough room for luggage in the back. There were no fights about being cramped or being in each other's personal space.
Pros
The third-row seating was one of the main reasons we purchased the SUV. We didn't want to move to a van just yet and wanted the similar space. When not transporting many riders, we keep the third row down and use it for cargo space. Also, when needing to transport anything large, we can push down both back seat rows, and we do not need a truck. The space offering is plenty.
Cons
If I had to pick anything, I would say that since it is a SUV, I am not able to park in narrow spots. I often need to drive further out to get a comfortable spot.

The dealership has a reputation for providing fast and honest purchase deals. Our local AAA affiliate recommended them because of member satisfaction. We already knew exactly what we wanted, and the sales rep did not pester us with alternate models or options and upgrades. The sale went quickly, and the finance guy actually gave us a tremendous (LOW) interest rate, for selecting UV seat coating as an extra, saving us dozens of dollars in interest.
